  1. Would people eventually show up to pick if there weren't vegetables at the market one day? Do the American workers know that eventually an illegal will show up so they don't bother? Do people not want to pick fruits and vegetables because it's easier to get food stamps? BTW, I heard someone say that 11,000 people a day are added to the food stamp roll.... I haven't had time to look that up but if true it is a staggering stat!
  2. Damn Hixter, I like you. I think it's great to see how passionate people can be, no matter how far to the othe side of the topic I may rest. I think it's safe to say the gun issue is here to stay as well as the guns themselves.
  3. I read the transcript and the speech seemed good.
  4. I listed a couple of dictators that have history with taking away private ownership of guns. I'm sorry you've taken it as a shot at Hitler or any of the other evil, fascist, Nazi or communist leader. But seriously, I'm certainly not comparing Barack to hitler. I am, however, noting that there are a number of government leaders and politicians who have shown a desire to remove and disarm its citizens and through history, some have been quite successful. To take note of this (history) and be on the defense of such actions is what I'm thinking about. I may be mistaken, but didn't most of these l
  5. I love giving fascism cheap shots. I'm pretty sure he was an asshole.
  6. China looks like a great place to visit. Do they allow private ownership of guns?
  7. I may be wrong but didn't Hitler, Stalin, Mao ban guns to one extreme or another?
  8. There are a lot of things we as American citizens don't NEED but we want and if I want to go shoot a gun that the government doesn't know I have on private property then I will do it. The car analogy works with guns if people used guns like they do cars.....I guess. Or maybe if cars were in the, i don't know.....constitution? Hahaha this is getting funny again. I don't believe the government needs to know about my privately owned gun and I'm starting to think the more they try the more I feel like resisting.
  9. But someone is allowed to own a car that can go that fast, right? They are allowed to purchase that type of automobile even though it is not necessary, right? They drive that car on a select track or stretch of road that is safe, right? Those types of cars are still available to purchase if you want one....even though they aren't "necessary". I like your analogy, thanks.
  10. Sometimes I go have dinner and drinks with my friends and then go home and state my opinion like a boss too.
  11. Louie, do you know what a semi-automatic gun is? Not trying to be a smart ass but seriously, do you?
  12. Some of the orders seem like they should have been done long ago....like appointing a director for the ATF. As The daily show noted, the democratic controlled Senate is required to confirm this but Obama should have been on that a long time ago. I'm wondering what #21 means, "Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges." Can anyone explain?
  13. Louie, you could, God forbid, do that without a gun in your house. I think it's a little unfair to lump that scenario in there when I believe that automobiles and knives kill more people each year than guns.
  14. What the hell are you talking about? Really.
  15. .22 and deer hunting. I didn't realize this topic was gonna have some humor in it.
  16. Because I want them and thats my right ....that's good enough. Not to be short and smug but If you can't see it then I'm not sure any sort of explanation will help you "get it". I'll be honest, once the government starts limiting what we can and can not have I fear they wont stop. And yes, good job Barack for confirming what gun advocates have been afraid of since you got elected in 08. I wish I had listened to them.
  17. I'm going to buy more guns and no it will not.
  18. Come to Texas.... There are quite a few. Yes, you are right. We don't need anymore laws restrictng gun ownership. Just enforce the ones we have.
  19. No. I think you nailed it. But could you imagine Washington ever trying to iliminate private gun ownership? That's humorous to think about. Meanwhile in the country that has made owning a gun privately a criminal offense: http://www.rnw.nl/english/article/gunman-runs-amok-dutch-town It doesn't matter if it's illegal...bad guys will always find a way to get guns.
  20. No right to private gun ownership? Hahahaha
  21. Hahaha within reason? Whose reason? the government has a funny way with some of its reason.
  22. The government does not need to know what I have.....speaking of needs. They know more than they need to already. My point above was if the media is going to put the picture of the crazy guy who killed a bunch of innocent children on the news for more than a week then a person who saves innocent lives should be mentioned as well. Frankly, I believe they spoke entirely too much about the criminal in CT. Remembering the victims and their heroic acts is the right thing to do in these cases. You ever see these people with their mug shots or personal photos? Its like they know that after they do a
  23. Did you hear the story of the man in San Antonio who walked into a restaurant to break up with his girlfriend. After he fired shots in the restaurant people ran out and next door to a movie theater, trying to hide from the gunman. The gunman follows the people into the theater and before he could injure more people he was shot four times by a woman with a semi-automatic gun...... This was 2 days after the CT shootings. What? You didn't hear about that? Weird.
