  1. yeppers. couple of pointers--typically when referring to "low strings" a lot of folks will think you're talking about the thicker strings. Also, be careful when converting a power chord to a full chord, as some may be major (like the one you showed), and some may be minor chords (or a host of others).

    Two excellent points

  2. Those are your three main inversions of a C chord using all six strings. Which chord you use depends on what key the song is in and how you want it to sound.

Those are very important chord shapes to know for sure, but just to be technical they aren't really inversions.

  3. since my .Aif files are no good for the VC tracker, I guess I'm still willing to help out. If theres any particular songs someone has to hear right away before a FLAC version gets uploaded to bittorrent, just post it in the thread and ill try and upload it in .mp3

    cheers

I for one am fine with an mp3 versio for playing on the computer if yoy're so inclined.... :cheers

  4. You think?

I think the new album is good. I think Jay could have laid off some of the production on some tracks for sure. But there's some good material (just skip track 1, which sounds like someone making a parody of an overproduced track)

  5. i'm going to try one of the korg ones (cost $30). i only have an acoustic, or otherwise i'd get a floor tuner.

    :no

do this - the few extra bucks are worth it. if you ever play with other people, it can be hard to demand total silence while you try and tune with a GA30.

I've got one that just clamps onto the headstock and picks up the vibes. It's awesome, especially when you're jamming, you can just turn yourself down and tune, but I guess you can do that with the other ones. Anyways, the headstock ones are cool and space-agey.
