You guys reviewed the new Rentals, so you're O.K. in my books. Course saying the solo album was disappointing is crazy talk. I will bookmark it fo' sho'.

Just got tickets for Magnolia Electric Co, it says "with guests"... anyone know who's playing with them this tour? Anyone else going to the Vancouver show?

Jesus etc is probably the only song I prefer live from YHF. Nels lap steel is incredible.

I prefer Spiders live, for sure. Some of the Ghost tracks sound really good with Nels and Pat.

I read the first chapter of the first Harry Potter and I couldn't force myself to read on. Never bothered with the movies.

The Magnolia Electric Co. have a new album (part of a box set actually) coming out called Nashville Moon, which I can not get enough of. It's kind of Neil Youngish... sort of. Like if Crazy Horse played on Harvest.

Listening to this now for the first time due to this post. Murray Street is the only Sonic Youth album I've ever been able to get into, to be honest.

I discovered Wilco about 3 years ago but it wasn't till last year I REALLY got into them. Wilco/Uncle Tupelo was all I listened to for about a year. What a good year it was.

I got my ticket today!

Also, out of towners: I recommend checking out Commercial Drive. There's some cool record stores there (High Life comes to mind) and the what not.

I too would love an indie torrents invite. I think I am a good torrenter as I have like a 2.7 ratio on oink.
