My brother and I are taking our younger brother to the Myrtle Beach show to celebrate him finishing his family medicine residency program. Can't believe my little bro is a doctor.

Not one drop of snow down here, yet schools were cancelled yesterday afternoon. I swear the people who run our school districts are really something.

Thanks so much for all the info. I'll mention these places to my friend. The pizza place she was talking about is called Revolution Pizza. Her email says it is across the street from the theater, but she could be confused since she's only lived in Charlotte for a few months. She also mentioned Alexander Michaels and Cabo Fish Taco, which I've been to and is yum! I'm about to head up to Charlotte in a few. Hope you enjoy the show!

Thanks for the info! I think we're going to try and do dinner before. My friend lives in Charlotte and suggested a few places. I can't recall the names now, but I know she said there was a pizza place across from the venue? I think another place was called Dish.

Cool. I've never been to the Neighborhood Theater, but my friend going with me has. Last time I saw Son Volt was at the Visulite in 2007. Saw Old 97's there last year as well.

How was this show? I'm seeing them tonight.

Hey! I finally got in for Asheville and got Orc C, Row H, so I'll look for ya. After going thru that whole ordering process, now I remember why I hate music today so much. I kept checking the box to document my shipping and billing address were the same and it wouldn't accept that. So I ended up putting my address in twice. Geez. See my post above! What seat numbers are you guys in?

It's been a while since I've tried for presale tickets but I'm going to today because I won't be near a computer Friday. i just went to the music today website and it says tickets go on sale 10:00 am "local time". What does this mean??

That was a bad night all around for me. My friends ran late and we made it to the show just in time for Wilco. Didn't even have time to enjoy any of the wonderful restaurants in Asheville. Hopefully this next time will be better.

I'm seeing them in Charlotte on Thursday. Pretty excited, considering I haven't seen them since May 2007. I wonder if they are playing any new songs on these dates.

Honestly, I'm not sure about the balcony. Since I was on the floor, I really didn't pay much attention to it. My friends sat up there, though. I'll have to ask them about it, just for curiosity's sake. If I go to the April show, I think I'll try for middle of the row seats this time. Aisle seats just aren't worth it. Didn't I sell you tickets to the 2005 show?? You and WITHIK, who sat right next to me. What an experience that was. Actually he wasn't that bad of a guy, he was just really drunk.
