Yeah, but throw out the twelve minutes of bleeps and bloops on LTYT, and you're down to 55 minutes of actual songs. That's a good length for an album, I think.

Agreed with the above, but I'd recommend checking their MySpace out first, at least. http://myspace.com/theautumndefense There's a few tracks for you to listen to, and if you like what you hear, give 'em a shot live. You'll probably dig the show, and if you don't, you'll only be out ten bucks or so, anyway. It's not my favorite music, but they put on a good show, and I'm glad I saw 'em.

I don't give a shit about FLAC. Thanks for the upload.

I've just listened to two different versions of LNGCA and didn't hear the phrase "you are my face" in there, anywhere at all. Here you go: Link

Yeah, it was really late, at least for me. I'm used to these Wilco shows where they go on around 9:30 or so, but the opening band here didn't go on until about 10:45. Plus, I had been up since about six in the morning, so needless to say, I was beat. It was all I could do to stay awake for the forty-five minute drive home. . .

Oh man, I'm crap at this sort of thing, so I'll just echo what most of what the OP said about the first show. Tiny venue, with John and Pat just hanging out beforehand, talking with people and selling stuff from their merch table. It was nearly-packed by the time Autumn Defense went on around 11:45, but the crowd had thinned out quite a bit as the show went on, which was disappointing. I guess those people were expecting something more Wilco-esque, I don't know. By the time the show was over at 12:45, there was maybe around three or four dozen people left. As far as the setlist goes, lik

I'm seeing them tonight in Norman, OK, so it's nice to hear that they're putting on a good show. It'll also be my first time seeing them, and I've only recently become familiar with their stuff.

Because "exclusive bonus tracks" suck balls. . . "Monday" "How to Fight Loneliness" -
'Zeitgeist' 07.07.07 Link 7/7/07 falls on a Saturday, but I guess, when you're Billy Corgan, that doesn't matter.

You can click on all the individual songs, and download them that way. It's all the same stuff.

The official site mentions that "Glad It's Over" is a new track, being considered for the album. According to Wilcobase, it hasn't been played live yet. Anyone know anything more about it? I guess it's either a totally brand-new song, or an alternate title for some other newish song we've already heard.

Yeah, me too. Here we go. . .

"Sky Blue Sky" is a lyric that's repeated a couple times in "Lullaby for Rafters and Beams."
-
Check this out: Link They've got both of those songs up, along with most (if not all) of the other new songs, too.

Nothing really good to add here, but I just wanted to say that if anyone ever decides to do a Tweedy/Wilco wiki, that it should be called "Wilcopedia." That's it. Sorry, everyone.

I drove up from OKC yesterday evening and except for one little spot, it was smooth sailing all the way. But I'm much more concerned about the drive home. From what the weather guys in OKC were saying yesterday, it sounds like we're gonna get hit with a pretty good snowfall right about the time people start getting back from the show. Everything's just fine in Tulsa right now. Haven't had the weather on, but I'm guessing the snow won't hit here until well after midnight--so hopefully everybody can get on the road and miss it all.

Jeff talked about the new album tonight in Nashville

Wasn't SBS also known as "Lullaby for Rafters and Beams" at one point? If they're the same song, then here's a link: YSI link If they're different songs, then that was a link to another new song called "Lullaby for Rafters and Beams" with the phrase "sky blue sky" repeated several times, in the lyrics. -
I kinda hope there's not an opener, 'cause it looks like there's another snowstorm that's rolling into OKC late Friday night, and I'd like to miss as much of that as possible.

If it's on Wikipedia, it must be true.

I believe the first thread was lost forever, so here's Part Two. Who else is going to Friday's show? I've seen Wilco five times, but have never seen Jeff solo, so I'm really looking forward to Friday night. I'm sure it'll be a great show--and hopefully the weather will cooperate (thank God the show wasn't this weekend--holy hell). There was some talk in the previous thread of restaurants and watering holes in the Tulsa area--so, if you're from out of town and like hamburgers, I'd like to recommend Goldie's--pretty much the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Johnnie's burgers are

"The Good Part" was the b-side for the "War on War" single back in 2002. (Bonus upload: "The Good Part" from the YHF Engineer's Demos)

I actually zipped these up and tried to YSI them last night, even after the somewhat-ambiguous nature of the second post, but the file was too big for me to send. After this, I'm glad I didn't mess with it any further. What an ass.
