  1. I know there are not many UK based people here but is anyone else going to Latitude this weekend? I'll be at the front for Wilco, 8pm tomorrow night, wearing the grey 'rising hard' cock t-shirt. Can't wait, also hoping to catch Cake, the Hold Steady, Arcade Fire, CSS, CYHSY, the National. Does anyone else think that it is a crime against music that Wilco are beneath Damian Rice? Leaving London after work tonight. Can't wait.
  2. Bump, this is on TV tonight.
  3. Also at the show. It's only my second Wilco show ever, so I don't really have a frame of reference. I have to agree with TonyBlair that Jeff certainly wasn't pissed off. It just came across badly over the internet, I'd imagine. The whole band were smiling loads. 'Hummingbird' was great tonight, but to be honest I loved it all. Wasn't a duff song. Bill Fay was great too (apparently first time he's been on stage in over 30 years! according to uncut blog review of the show). 'Leat Greats' was also good to hear live. 'Spiders' was amazing to witness live, although I wanted to rock out a litt
  4. According to SB empire's website: 9pm UK time - which would be 4pm in New York? I think? Support has been announced: http://www.myspace.com/ruarrijoseph
  5. My review. http://www.rockbeatstone.com/rockbeatstone...007/wilco1.html Sorry for the shameless plug.
  6. Does anyone know who is supporting? Can't find that info anywhere. Very excited about Sunday. Bring it on.

  8. "I trust no emotion I believe in locomotion But I've turned to rust as we've discussed Though I must have let you down too many times In the dirt and the dust." Great song. For me his lyrics here are about creating a mood and emotion. And they do that in a pretty amazing manner. It's not just about a literal meaning. Dylan is probably best at doing this. I mean, what the hell does 'Desolation Row' mean? The answer is immeterial in my opinion, it's more about the feelings and mood that is awoken inside the listener. I can't wait to hear 'You Are My Face' live.
  9. They won't announce anything until the second Shepherds Bush date sells out though, it wouldn't make any sense to announce another show in competition with one already announced. I think that they'll avoid London and play UK festivals/regional cities and then do the same in Europe in June/July. Apart from their US commitments as well.
  10. Dammit, i've got a ticket for a mate's birthday to see Cold War Kids at Koko on that day. I don't know what to do.
  11. Got mine too! Only my second Wilco show. Can't wait!
  12. 3 nights - they're not that popular over-here!!!
