  1. Hi, Not used this before but thought it was worth a try! Due to organisational f*ck-up i'm looking for any two tickets for Wilco in Utrecht, NL on November 13th. Any questions/leads can you please email me - jimmy ketchup [at] gmail [dot] com. Thanks! :-)
  2. A full band'Tonight, I'll be staying here with you' would be more than amazing actually.
  3. Enjoy the concert! For you and other Dylan fans... There's a new Dylan MP3 for free from the Guardian. An Alternative take of Mississippi. This will be on the new Bootleg Series due in October. As close to solo as you're going to get with Dylan. You can get it here. Register an email and they put you through to the link for the free download: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/competitio...oad.mississippi
  4. Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street band joined by Tommy Morello of Rage Against the Machine playing an electric version of 'The Ghost of Tom Joad' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJT1EdKRF2g I think that this is possibly the most amazing thing I have ever seen or heard. The guitar solo at the end is amazing. The comments sum it up quite well: "I can't recall a more electrifying guest and ANY SHOW. The dude was like a jurist telling you what the story was. I'm humbled."
  5. Would be a good opportunity for them to make up the cancelled UK dates of last year....
  6. "Heroes" might be on hiatus, but fans can get their fix of NBC's superhero drama with the release next month of its first original soundtrack and accompanying music videos. The NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music & Consumer Products Group has set a March 18 release for the album, which will feature exclusive new singles from artists including Wilco ("Glad It's Over"), Panic At The Disco ("Nine in the Afternoon"), Imogen Heap ("Not Now But Soon") and Brighton Port Authority featuring Iggy Pop ("He's Frank"), as well as classic tracks from Bob Dylan ("Man in the Long Black Coat") and Davi
  7. Hello, I'm looking for someone to write a review of all five shows for a website I'm involved with. No money involved, just a chance to let your creative juices flow and see your work on the web. If this might interest you, then please PM me. I'll get back to you. If you wanna check out the website then it's www.rockbeatstone.com If you're not interested but going - have a great time, I am supremely jealous !
  8. Flights are not so cheap at short notice unfortunately.
  9. Not for sale in the UK though :-)
  10. "At the end of the day it's a shame, but that's all. I'm certain the cancellations are for a very good reason that the band feel will be of benefit to them and to getting their music out to a bigger audience, sell more records, do bigger tours, etc, etc." What if it isn't though, what if it is purely down to the fact that ticket sales were poor and that they didn't want to / couldn't be arsed with playing to half-empty places across the UK? That shows a lack of respect to fans. At the end of the day, if they came out with something more substantial than conflicting timetables or whatever
  11. "My guess is on poor ticket sales.... " Mine too. They should have booked smaller venues if it is the case, or better publicised the gigs.
  12. Any date in the UK would be good for me. Hopefully they can revisit us soon. Too late for me to organise trips to Europe/Ireland now - especially if they don't go ahead.
  13. The UK venues still knew about this last night, a statement should have been prepared to coincide with the news for the website or venues or whatever.
  14. Were sales too poor though. Only one date had sold out for this euro tour according to Wilcoworld and that was Dublin. What about the other euro dates - are they still on? Or it could just be a See tickets fuck-up? Edited to add: they've officially cancelled it on the Brixton Academy web-page: http://www.brixton-academy.co.uk/listings.php
  15. They've just cancelled Brixton too. Got an email from See Tickets.
  16. How do I get these to work? I've got a mac and there's a quicktime symbol with a questionmark over the two slots on the roadcase page. Are these still up, am I retarded and not doing something properly? The Shepherds Bush streat worked fine when I wanted to listen to it! don't understand!
  17. Can someone post me in the right direction to a download? Any help appreciated. I'm rubbish with this kind of stuff and don't know where to look.
  18. I'm from the UK. Saw them at Latitude and Shepherds Bush. Brixton will be amazing, sound is so much better than SBE and it is my favourite venue in London. Some guys I vaguely know are opening for Son Volt at the Luminaire. Treecreeper. Check them out if you like Son Volt you'll love them. http://www.myspace.com/treecreepermusic
  19. RE: seating vs standing. If the band have such a problem with seating, then why do they play/book all-seater venues?
  20. Saw them at Latitude - bored me to tears. Hated them.
  21. I'm so looking forward to Wilco at Brixton. My favourite band in my favourite music venue. Bliss.
  22. Some of my photos of Wilco at Latitude can be seen in this thread: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=29880
  23. Well, I got back yesterday. Wilco were absolutely fantastic, blew every other act off the stage that night. I was right at the front enjoying it, loads of people around me had never seen them before and were raving and raving after the show. Judging by the amount of T-shirts they sold, they made plenty of new fans over the weekend. Highlights were Spiders, Shot in the Arm and Side with the Seeds which had some really amazing guitar work from Nels. He was on much better form that the first night in Shepherds Bush when I saw them last. Whenever there was a Nels solo the big screens at the s
