A.M.
in Just A Fan
Bob Dylan' debut too. My Morning Jacket...a lot of the other stuff mentioned.
i guess it's really just because i don't care for A.M. at all.

>Where did you pick up your copy at? I've been looking for it myself.
amazon.com used - third-party store or whatever. great condition.

you are making me feel better Aaron. i wouldn't want to take the slipcase off my domestic edition and put it on this one...the UPCs wouldn't match. j/k.

hmmm...which one to i believe? :-)
my friend has the UK AGIB, i'm pretty sure it has the slipcase, but i can't remember.

just got a used copy of this one. does anyone know if this copy had the slipcase that the american edition is in? i'm just asking because my copy didn't come with a slipcase. also, the UK A Ghost Is Born did come in a slipcase, correct?
thanks in advance for the info.

here's why you could go both ways on that question:
more legitimate, because Box Full Of Secrets contains some officially released stuff, such as B-sides and compilation contributions, etc. the rest of course, is live tracks or outtakes, which are definitely in the same league as the Summerteeth/YHF demos
less legitimate, because distribution of officially released material is illegal, while concert recordings and outtakes aren't subject to that really. recording is even allowed/encouraged. not that i care about that, of course.

that's really sad actually.
it's sad to listen to Wilco in the car? it's sad to think that it would be cool if somebody recognized great music and said "ah salud"? okay man.
-justin

it's about unofficial as all hell. definitely a bootleg.

You've got to keep a Wilco shirt on at all times...that way when they are all like, "Hey!" you can just point at your shirt and give them a thumbs up and you won't have to turn the Wilco down to have a conversation with them.
i've had several people recognize my Wilco shirt (the A Ghost Is Born promotional one). a couple months ago, i saw a guy at work sporting one on casual Friday and we talk about music all the time now. relatively small office too (100 people or so).

i've always been hoping to have one. when i'm in my vehicle, i play it with the windows down, hoping someone will be all like "hey!" or something.

9/27/04. The NorVA (Norfolk, VA). fantastic show. i took advantage of the eat dinner in the back, get in early and get front row deal and it was amazing. also, because i was there so early, i got to shake hands with Jeff before the show. was too nervous to talk to him or get a picture or anything and so i only told him "thanks." however, as you can see from my sig pic, i did get to talk to him and all after the solo show in Charlottesville this year!

so tough.
2000s:
Bob Dylan - "Love And Theft"
Wilco - Sky Blue Sky [note: it is early, but i'm thinking this might be my favorite Wilco record, so....]

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
Radiohead - OK Computer
1980s:
Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues
Bruce Springsteen - Nebraska
1970s:
Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks
Neil Young - After The Gold Rush
1960s:
The Beatles - Revolver
Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde

luckily, (with the exception of late last week/early this week), it has been here in Richmond.

>i prefer to wait for the CD, then come May 15th I can drive around to it and enjoy the sky blue sky.
that's what i've been doing with my burned copy.

both Jeff and Glenn said it was okay to download the album in those articles that were linked to here.

hey Greg...do you ever go to the Commercial Taphouse?

"Impossible Germany" is one of my 12 favorite songs on Sky Blue Sky.Perhaps there should be a thread where we rank the SBS songs in the order in which they appear on the record, yes?
brilliant, the both of you.

almost every "professional" music review sucks these days. this obviously doesn't fit into category of the good ones.
-justin
-
damn, i thought you meant they actually made the cover. i feel certain they will one day.
-justin
-
that's why i took mine out of the book and put it in a slipcase. i store it with my bootlegs.
eta: sorry to hear that though man. i'd be frustrated as hell.

yeah, i was thinking/hoping there might be some sort of general consensus on what the best version was in terms of both sound quality (even a soundboard perhaps??) and performance.
-justin

i'd love to have an .mp3 to break out whenever i want to listen to the original version of this tune and i don't have any pre-2004 boots.
thanks in advance.

the Charlotte show is a little bit too far away for me to drive...hopefully they'll add a VA date.
