    and I'm usually pretty nice 'round here

     

    Recovery is not only a lifetime process, it is also very personal. As a lot of people on this board know.

    As much as I love VC this recent trend that the band and it's members(or former member) are some how supposed to live up to some jackasses pre-conceived perceptions/expectations/opinions/etc. is ludicrous. To me the most attractive thing about wilco has always been they live there lives make great music and answer to no one but themselves.(and they have a lot of great gear!) Maybe Jeff could go back to talking about "What happened with Jay Bennett" / Is Ut going to play again/ hitting on JF wife/ or any other of the myriad of things that have been beaten to death, both on this board and in interviews

    a commercial w/ andrew bird and mikael jorgensen where they have a duel w/ weird looking sweaters or trade licks on an oboe for a big mac would be interesting or, most likely, something i wouldn't care to see. vee-dub represent!

    I mean coddamnit, great new record buy a great band, best album sales out of the gate for the guys we've loved for years! Good, Congrats, long time coming, could not have happened to a better bunch of dudes. All the shit they sign and talk to literally EVERBODY who wants to say hi after the show/ free downloads, web cast, road case, streaming the new album for months before it comes out. Christ almighty relax it is a good time to be a wilco fan. Now, I'm going to go buy me some Volkswagens

    Let me start by saying I FREAKIN LOVE this album!! :worship

     

     

    Right now

     

    Sky Blue Sky the jangled acoustic folky wilco I have always loved "the drunks were ricocheting" followed by Tweedys "full throttle" vocals to open Side With The Seeds is my favorite moment right now

     

    Soooo.. short answer Side with the Seeds, no wait Impossible Germany or Sky Blue Sky, Either Way?

    am sitting here working on some freelance work, the colbert report on in the background. half paying attention and what do i hear???? "I Hate it Hear". look up to see a wilco commercial promoting sky blue sky using the drawings and birds and such from the album artwork as well as quotes from reviews and at the very end, the best buy logo and maybe someone saying something. i was in awe.

     

    and now Tom Delay is on, :o .

     

    Yeah, yesterday i was going to "take a break" from SBS(I tend to wear music I love out way to quickly) was about to go to bed and was thinking, man no wilco all day(except on the ride home from work) and BAM full length WILCO commercial? I can't escape!
