  1. Wait...there's a Wilco pre-sale?? How do I do that?

I thought the pre-sale was only for students and Wex Ctr members.

wilcoworld.net-shows-click on wilco tix link(it's bold under the event listing for c-bus)-create an account-buy tix....Good Luck!

  2. First of all, congrats to those who got rows 2, 3 and 4, those are awesome seats!

Secondly, I've never bought tickets from the Wilcoworld presale before...in what time zone are the presale start times listed on the website?

This was my first presale, but it was the timezone of the venue.

  3. Does anyone have a copy of 'Stars Too Small To Use'? It seems to be out of print on cd, and I can't find a digital copy anywhere.

I really like this band. I just discovered them in the past month...downloaded everything I could and I'll probably go and buy some of it when I get a job. Wish they were coming somewhere closer to my city than Chicago. Guess I'll see them on Conan tonight!

My DL spree included a copy of the aforementioned album. PM me if interested and maybe we can work something out...

  4. Enjoy standing a foot away from the band.

I hope there are some up close tickets left by the time the public sale comes around.

Mershon is a big auditorium and it is wide. There's really not a bad seat in the house sound-wise. View, obviously, the closer the better, but you'll be fine on the public sale....

  5. I have a friend who is affected by music in a similar way as that boy said he is. Though instead of the Beatles, my friend had to stop listening to NIN and Smashing Pumpkins to get his wits about him.

The reset of my comments about this article, I'll keep to myself. :pirate

  6. I not nearly as qualified as Leo on the subject, but I agree with him. I do believe that our society is quick to prescribe meds to solve health issues. (and no, I don't think its some scam by the drug companies) In extreme cases, medication can be helpful to people suffering from psychological illness, but I think in a lot of cases, there are better ways to treat such things.

Similarly to what Leo was saying, though not dealing with mental health, I was prescribed a drug to help with a heart condition, after taking it for a year, I was told by another doctor that the drug I was taking did not actually help my problem, it just made it so I was unaware if the problem was recurring. He was not happy and I wasn't either. He gave me a one time treatment for the problem and that has solved the problem so far(and that was 3 years ago).

I guess what I'm saying is be careful, either way. Do consult a doctor you trust but maybe get a second opinion from another(perhaps recommended by a friend or something).

Also, Leo up there is a good guy and smart too. I'd take him up on that offer to talk more.

    Good luck and feel better.

  8. I started driving when I was 15 but didn't get properly motivated to get my license until I was 20 or 21. I hate driving and probably shouldn't be allowed to do so simply because of how annoyed I get with other people on the road. And I know I'm not the best driver in the world, but it seems to me like there are a lot out there who are much worse.

  9. I don't watch the show but I'm guessing if you spend a lot of time listening to those two bands you might have trouble with a contest involving (what I assume to be) more mainstream selections.

your guess would be pretty accurate.

  10. Caught a snippet of "Last Goodbye" on the radio coming back from lunch, so I threw this on.

How ever many years out we are from his death, this record still never fails to break my heart.

    Amen.

I'm really into this band, A Fine Frenzy, the lead singer is beautiful with a voice to match. Also, the New Pornographers latests, Challengers, is pretty awesome.
