  1. Ya, the backdrop and lighting were fantastic, especially in a cool theater venue like the Jubilee like that. Very cool.
  2. Here's what I think I can recall of what they played, definitely not in order. Wilco (the song), California Stars, Poor Places, Shot in the Arm, Radio Cure, IATTBYH, Jesus Etc., One Wing, Handshake Drugs, Spiders, Bull Black Nova, Impossible Germany Hate it Here, You are My Face, Broken Arrow, Walken I'm sure I'm missing some.
  3. It does happen like that up here at different venues. The Jube is a fantastic venue, no doubt, but depending on the band there, you get a lot of seated shows. I've seen concerts there where the crowd stood for the entire show, I seem to recall standing for the last wilco show there actually, but I could be wrong. Aside from the seated aspect of the show last night, I thought it was great. Loved California Stars, Poor Places and Radio Cure. Bull Black Nova was great as was You are My Face and Impossible Germany. Great show all around.
  4. The Jubilee is such an incredible venue to see these guys, can't wait for it again tonight!
  5. What time did they start last night?
  6. Nice review. It was definitly a fantastic show. I enjoyed it more than last years Calgary show as well. Nels did appear to be giving it a bit extra last night too, he just blew me away. And your comments about Jeffs voice are spot on, he's sounding better than ever. I wish I was going to catch another one on this tour but alas, just the one for me this year.
  7. Awesome show last night! The crowd was actually very much into the show, even while seated. At least from my perspective they were, I was in row E on the main floor. It was great when Jeff pulled out his Rock and Roll Frontman skills and got everyone up though. The clap along in Spiders was great, pretty impressive display of clapping. All the new stuff sounded amazing, especially that face melting solo Nels does in Impossible Germany. Great stuff. The encores were all great as well.
  8. I hope he's feeling better by Friday! Heal up Nels!
  9. Man.... What a grat show last night. The new song right at the start caught me a bit off guard too, I'd love to have another listen. Looks like it was recorded so hopefully I'll be able to track it down later. Not much I can add that hasn't been said already. The solo in Impossible Germany was incredible. Seemed to me that the guys were all pretty tight last night, but it's only the 3rd time I've seen them so maybe I'm not the best judge of that. Either way, they put on a fantastic show despite Jeffs legs. I loved Kingpin and the jam and audience interaction... It was all great. The crow
  10. Sorry about your luck missing these guys. They put on a kick ass show and though I wasn't there for this one I have some friends that were and their review of the Hip on Saturday was extremely positive. That hail storm sounded pretty crazy, too bad it had to screw the sets up so much. It sounded like a lot of the side stage acts had to be cancled as well.
