    A quick mac question

    What is the mac equivalent to "control/alt/delete" to reset it? i updated a bunch of sofware, restarted it, and it's been in eternal thinking mode ever since. you know, the apple with the little circular arrow going around and around and around... cant even get the mouse.

    While I'm posting setlists, let me just add that we once again had the pleasure of hearing some of the fabulous musical exploits of our friends Dave Mirabella and Martin Rivas. Aside from their contributions to Jeff's performance as noted above, they also each played a set for us and I would feel remiss without listing those setlists as well...

     

    what?!?! paul, you didn't include our own kickin' version of "corduroy cutoff girl" with dave mirabella on guitar! :P

    hi paul. i just got home too. before you sit down to type out that awesome setlist, you'd better take a pee break and be well-rested!

     

    thank you jeff and susan for yet another unforgettable, beautiful night of music. i am always amazed by your gracious, warm generosity. i love you guys and (yet again) was reminded of how important jeff's music is to me. seriously.

    Health Care and/or Insurance

    Slightly off-topic, but just out of curiosity, how many insured people here on VC (1) have a primary care physician and (2) have an annual physical for preventive medicine (excluding the gyne appts that are mandatory to get a precription for birth control)? Easy access to preventive medicine should be a main focus. The richest nation should be the healthiest, not the fattest and laziest (wishful thinking)...just think, if the United States focused on good nutrition and preventing obesity (probably our country's top epidemic in terms of health sequelae), that would prevent the vast majority of the hypertension, coronary artery disease, type II diabetes, stroke, hypercholesterolemia....all the crap that made me go into pediatrics. Of course, now we're seeing many of these problems in kids too. Ugh.

    We have a lot of love for Portland. The wife and i make a yearly trip out there and hit Cannon Beach each time we go. We had to stay in Seaside last time we went, not as nice, but cheaper lodging. Finally hit Tillamook too - great cheese factory (and I am originally from Wisconsin!).

     

    As far as Full Sail goes, isn't it brewed in Hood River? The brewery in Bend is the Deschuttes Brewery. Great beer and even better food (if you are ever in Bend). I believe Full Sail is brewed overlooking the Columbia River and Mt. Hood.

     

    Aw, the memories, such a beautiful place...when the sun is shining.

     

    Next time you are at the coast, drive about 15 miles south of Cannon Beach to Oswald Beach. It's a wind-protected cove with a beautiful beach, tidepools, and tons of surfers. You have to hike about 1/4 mile from Highway 101 to get to the beach, but it's a gorgeous walk and well worth it. There are camp sites too.

     

    Yes Full Sail is in Hood River and Deschutes is in Bend. Black Butte Porter is the nectar of the gods
