If this is not one of the greatest recordings of all time, what exactly would rank ahead of it? Opening a can of worms, I'm sure, and something that has undoubtedly been covered in VC numerous times. But really, in terms of influence on the direction of pop/rock/white boy music, can't really be too many more important albums. Also, hear the influence on Summerteeth, which means quite a bit to me. IMHO....

I'm feeling slightly ambivalent about this place.

Not sure what Dboon is trying to say here, but jam is not sickkk, but downright healing. -

So why are we wasting our time?

This is useful in the strange, screwy world of AWATT I live in, a musical universe that is limited but not limited to only JT related music (UT, GS, LS, etc.) I've been wondering about what else fits, beyond Neil and Gram and Jayhawks. I'll check out some of these other bands (confession: never heard of Bright Eyes).

It's quite a gripping story so far--not sure a movie can really do it justice.

How to Make Love Like a Porn Star by Jenna Jameson....for research. Seriously.

"Sappy love songs"? By Jeff Tweedy? Only song that comes close is Guthrie's Hesitating Beauty, I think. The rest usually touch on depression, sadness, darkness, melancholy, miscommunication, etc., that comes with love..... Or is it just me?

I'm riding down Kingsley, figuring I'll get a drink Turn the radio up loud, so I don't have to think, I take her to the floor, looking for a moment when the world seems right, And I tear into the guts, of something in the night. You're born with nothing, and better off that way, Soon as you've got something they send someone to try and take it away, You can ride this road 'till dawn, without another human being in sight, Just kids wasted on something in the night. Nothing is forgotten or forgiven, when it's your last time around, I got stuff running 'round my head That I just can't live do

Late Greats is a great closer--always struck me as odd earlier in set, as in KTV. Far, Far Away was the gem in this show for me, a real treat. Was worried it would not be available on wilcoweb so am very relieved to hear it will be posted. Still happy from the show.

We named our dog Drummer. Love this one every time.

I think we've got a long way to go until the very end, but I will predict and will likely be wrong: wishful thinking.

I hope it's the extended version. Really.
