  1. Fly.

Apparently they're made out of old milk jugs and tires. :monkey

Arrived for my daughter today, courtesy of Wilco photo contest. Apparently, I'm a shoe-measuring doof and ordered them too big. Very cute shoes. Yay!

  6. I agree with Edie. A real highlight meeting you two and hearing the story. :wub

What else is so amazing is how intertwined your lives had been with mutual friends/acquaintances and yet you never met each other before this phone call from sistersooie's mom...and obviously, we spent very little time with you guys...and yet the similarities in your appearance and personalities are just uncanny...an amazing story. :yes

On a different note, I also loved hearing your accents...'specially when you called me "Fluff". :blush :cheekkiss

  7. Don't worry he has it coming to him anyway. You remember my sleeping situation that day? Well guess who had to drive home, and guess who slept the whole way home... I give you two guesses and a hint. I wasn't the one sleeping and the one sleeping was not driving

He owes you big time! :pirate :yes Maybe he needs to drive you to and from the KC show? :shifty :) :thumbup

Also, I found your new avatar, Miss Hathaway! :heehee

Thanks...dumb luck for sure. :thumbup All of the ones of Nels are a blur...he's so amazing to watch...flashes of Handshake Drugs are coming to me now just thinking of it. :stunned

  9. Excellent shots of Glenn. Much better than the ones I got. And you got the guy with the bowl haircut and track shorts! My friend and I kept trying to get a photo of him, but none of them turned out.

Hi! :wave Thanks for the kind words. It's funny you mention the bowl haircut guy...I didn't realize from where I was that that was his haircut...I assumed he had headphones or something...and then I looked at the pic and realized...no, that's hair! :blink :lol

You should say hi at the KC show, poppydawn! :) (Think you said you're going to that one?)

Melissa, your photos are beautiful! Love seeing our handsome Wilcos in the warm natural daylight! I'm so glad you got these photos.....brings even more of that wonderful day back to me. Great shots! :thumbup

Thanks, Donna! You are very kind. But you are the master, my dear. :cheekkiss (I have one of you looking particularly :angry during soundcheck...think you were trying to tell me and Ms. Chris to get to the front! :lol :heehee)

  10. I finally made it here! Its pigsooie's sister (hence the name). I had a great time at my first but definitely not my last show. Can't wait til next time!

Yay! Welcome...jump in the water's fine. :pirate :thumbup

p.s. Sorry for the bunny ears. :hmm Sooie told me to do it. :monkey

  11. Fall's my most favo-rite. :thumbup

I love the crisp, blue sky one day, then foggy, spooky rain the next. I'm always ready for blue jeans and making soup/stew/chili weather too. :) I really like living where I do in the fall. Right now the Flint Hills are covered in yellow wildflowers (broomweed mostly), with dots of lavender and blue (blue pitcher sage :wub). Soon the grasses will all turn and the hills will be all shades of gold, tan, browns, and rusts...with a splash of red (sumac or poison ivy) here and there. And of course the trees...just a huge fan of all things fall...pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and of course, candy! :w00t :)

Here's a pic from the other evening at sunset where you can see some of the flowers:

    DSC01829.jpg

And I'll throw this one in...my son, who's 5, is a determined little photographer and insists on having a turn taking pics...I liked his perspective on this one:

    Happy fall ya'll! :wave

  12. Ha! I blogged about the CH show I saw at the Pabst and was pretty mean about 16 Frames. A few weeks later, the drummer replied to my post.

Brianne, I just read your blog. (Lots of good stuff btw!) "Trying to channel Bono" were the exact words that came up in my conversation with fellow concert goers about them. :yes I guess to be fair, I suspect if I heard their music on the radio (without the visual) I might think "oh, this is nice". :mellow ...and I did enjoy watching the bassist and drummer now that I think of it (we were in the front row trying to avoid eye contact with the lead singer! LOL). You were very kind in your response. :) It's a tough gig being an opener, isn't it?
