If Newcastle continue on their current form they may take that spot.

I heard on yesterdays Guardian Football Weekly podcast that Bolton still have the big four left to play. I hope they don't go down but it sounds like it won't be an easy road.

Aston Villa tomorrow, which should be good match. Man U have Fulham so Arsenal cannot afford to drop points.

No idea how I remember the date other than I seem to have a good memory for dates (as Christy could tell you). I have no memory as to why I signed up, though, since I had never before joined a message board.

Eduardo has a broken left ankle. They wouldn't show a replay because they said it was too graphic. What a huge bummer. Van Persie needs to get fit soon.

Arsenal don't have to win at the San Siro. If the game ends 1-1, then Arsenal go through on away goals. Though I wish Adebayor's header would have gone in, it was huge to not concede an away goal. It makes Arsenal's task at Milan easier, but of course not easy by any means. But if Arsenal can score first then they will sit back knowing it will take 2 goals to beat them. Overall I was happy with how Arsenal played. Flamini was great and Senderos even played really well. I cannot wait for the return leg.

I guess it's a good thing I couldn't watch the match on TV, though listening to it wasn't much fun either. Sounded like Traore was having a hard time and overall nobody played too well. Makes me look forward to Wednesday even more. I do wish Arsenal would drop out of these cup competitions (if it must happen) in less spectacular fashion. I've heard that this win gives Man Utd confidence in the league now, but a team like Man Utd doesn't (or shouldn't) need a 5th round FA cup home win vs Arsenal where neither team put out a full strength team to make them believe they have a chance in leagu

I watched some of the first half at work and just missed the Senderos goal. People had the nerve to bother me with work. Then when I got home Adebayor had just scored when I was starting up my computer. I have no luck. I wonder what teams Wenger and Ferguson will put out this weekend. I cannot imagine they will be full strength sides with the Champions League starting back up four days later. I still can't belive this match isn't on TV.

City beat United and Chelsea drew with Liverpool, which are good results for Arsenal. With a win tomorrow they can go 5 points clear. Agreed.

I agree and hope Toure is fit because Arsenal's chances go down with Senderos playing. I heard Man Utd have an interest in Karim Benzema, so it will be interesting to see how he does against them. With how well Chelsea have been playing given all their injuries they will be really scary when people start coming back, especially with Drogba playing with Anelka. No doubt the top 3 will be close in the end. I think a Ghana v Ivory Coast final would be great...not that I can watch it in the States, though.

I haven't watched the match yet, but I see Pato scored another goal this weekend. Arsenal gave Man City their first league home loss of the season. Eduardo scored a great goal but Flamini's during midweek was even better. So with Man Utd and Chelsea dropping points it was a good weekend.

I am all for a change in the big four, just as long as Arsenal are still one of the four. I would also like to see Liverpool drop out, just don't know that they will this year. I do see Inter knocking them out pretty easily in the CL, though.

I think he will and as you say 4th is not out of reach. Though I hope Milan have a temporary drop in form when the Champions League starts back up next month. I agree that Birmingham is the stronger of the three on 20 points and the most likely to stay up, but I think Wigan will also stay up. What about the 4th Champions League spot? I think Liverpool will take it. They haven't played well this year and are still hanging around that position (and if they win their game in hand they would jump Everton by a point) and I think it's more likely they will improve than Everton, Aston Villa or

I DVR'd that and was telling my son about Pato and saying to watch for him but we only got to see the first half. Then my two year old decided it was time to watch cartoons. So I'll have watch the rest later tonight.
