Actually, I hope not. I would like some of the new album to be a surprise. What I would prefer is that they resurrect some oldies and give them new arrangements and wow us that way.
when you wake up feeling old and why would wanna live have been neglected way too long

I used to work with a couple of people from Melbourne, which is Aussie Rules central, is it not?
sort of. some teams have merged and interstate ones have been formed. before all this it was called VFL (VICTORIAN football league).
the grand final is tomorrow and the 2 teams are from sydney and perth

Currently on a TV DVD kick.
Currently:
That 70s Show Season 2.
I think this is really underrated. I guess the format is pretty old hat now in a world of Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I like its sharpness and its affectionate mocking of the past (and subtle suggestions that things haven't neccessarily changed for the better).
I'm a sucker for sitcoms though. Next up I'm either going to get Scrubs Season 4 or My Name is Earl S1.
i'm up to series 4 in that one... great show.
plus i have a soft spot for mila kunis

Honestly, I'm not sure that his views on religion have been made known very clearly. The Loose Fur album definately shows a disdain for religious dogma, but that's not the same as religion itself.
hmm, apart from the george bush rants on those late 2004 shows, i'd take anything the man says between songs with a grain of salt.... we've been had
oh, and the "talkers" rants seem legit

speaking of sporting bans in Australia, my friend who is studying abroad there claimed he was at an Australian Football game, and tried to start the wave (or the "Mexican wave" as they call it there). Long story short, he was kicked out and given a police citation, because the wave is not allowed as it causes people to knock stuff over or something...
i'm not a sports person but the mexican wave is usually associated with soccer. there are some stubborn people here that really discriminate between AFL and soccer. i'm surprised at the police story.. have you got any other info about the incident?
heh, the difference between AFL and soccer is that in AFL, the players beat the crap out of eachother, whereas in soccer, the spectators do it

Where is the 15 Years on "Still Feel Gone" thread? In a parallel universe this should have been the breakout, era defining album of 1991. Having said that, I'm glad it wasn't. But it's still better than "Nevermind."
speaking of which, does anyone notice that the opening riff to Teen spirit is identical to that of That Year?
