  1. I like the QOTSA comparison, because it's warranted and kind of a surprising connection, so that's insightful.

I was surprised by the QOTSA-ness of that song on my first listen but it works really well.

  2. I have been here for 12 years... :stunned Welcome back stay for some coffee or something

    Thanks :)

It's good to see a lot of display names I recognize. I have a bad habit of disappearing from the world periodically, but I figure VC is a good place to chill. Can't hurt to have another source of entertainment while at work, either.

  3. It's nice to see you again!  :wave And yeah, what an album they've sprung on us lucky fans! I get to see them the day after tomorrow, and I'm psyched!

Hey man, thanks :) Good to see you're still kicking it. I was hoping to see 'em this summer (they'll be a few hours from here this weekend), but I just couldn't swing it.

  4. I love the record SO MUCH. I'm developing an unhealthy attachment to it. It's practically all I think about. Pity the poor people around me who have no interest in talking about how brilliant Star Wars is! It's really difficult not to overdo it by listening multiple times a day. Don't want to ruin it for myself, which I've done before! So envious of those going to shows in the next few weeks/months that will likely get to hear it played in its entirety. Damn.

I agree, I've been obsessively thinking about the album and it grows with every listen. It's what led me back to VC after years of being away, I was looking forward to seeing everyone's thoughts.

I found it very interesting (perhaps because it's related to my work :P) >>

this is cool, i hadn't seen it. it's related to my work as well, and it's a lot more interesting than the business example that usually get cited :D

  5. my wife and i took my ten year old stepson, and my eight week old. it was a great show. quite a different vibe from the oregon show last summer, but amazing nonetheless, and it was definitely cool to see the vibe between the band and fleet foxes.

  6. I've always had a natural penchant for hyperbole but stiil I cannot overstate the importance of the Plastic Ono Band album. It's just one of the most cathartic things a person could ever listen to.

i'm currently downloading the home recording sessions for that album :thumbup

  7. just listened to "Love" and had to post the lyrics here

Love is real, real is love,

    Love is feeling, feeling love,

Love is wanting to be loved.

Love is touch, touch is love,

    Love is reaching, reaching love,

Love is asking to be loved.

    Love is you,

    You and me,

    Love is knowing,

    We can be.

Love is free, free is love,

    Love is living, living love,

Love is needing to be loved.
