Saw it, loved it, ready to go see it again... (and I haven't paid to see a movie in a theater twice in a looong time!).
Major spoiler / hypothesis below.
So, what's wrong with the following hypothesis:
Everything from the very start of the film till Leo wakes up on the airplane is a dream. There is no 'dream sharing', there is no corporate espionage, there is no warrant for his arrest back home. There is only a guy who's coming home from a far-too-frequent business trip who misses his kids. He has a weird dream on the plane which includes the strangers he happens to be in first class with. He's a widower (maybe or maybe not with all the suicide baggage), and his dad or FIL (Caine) watches the kids. What if it's just some normal businessdude having a James Bond fantasy dream on a plane? Is there anything in the last 10 minutes of the film (post-Leo-wakeup) that prohibits that?

So, back to the topic of the album itself...
I haven't gotten it yet, but I tried to go back and listen to "Whatever Happened I Apologize" again. I still don't like it. Is this one better / different? Thoughts?

Sounds sweet. I'll bet those LYO kids are pretty excited. My daughter was in the Central Kentucky version of that this past year (CKYO), and it was a pretty big deal. but they didn't get to play with MMJ...
Greg, is that the former Freedom Hall there in Louisville? or some other place?

Yesterday and today was the summer advising conference for our daughter who enters college next month. Same school I went to (Kentucky) 30 years ago.
Yeah, I'm feelin old.

I´m waiting for your congratulations, ladies and gentlemen.
Even if your soccer knowledge are far away from the real world, please say thank you to the Spain team, fighting against the worst way to play:the Netherland-kung fu team and their English best supporter (dressed in black).
Good football won,Mourinho lost again
If I was a Netherland supporter last night (and I was for years) I felt embarrased:where is the spirit of Cruyff and Neskens, where is the wonderful team of Van Basten and Gullit?
And the answer is :they´re all trying to play football last night, but in the Spanish team.
Yes dear, congratulations. A great team, if not a great match!

apparently 1 more....
That was not the finals match that FIFA needed to garner additional fans. I know very little about the game, but that was pretty dull to me.

On a somewhat related note, it seems that iOS 4 being installed on iTouch 3rd gen devices is a major battery drain even in standby. The battery completely drains overnight in standby mode, which it never did before. Lots of buzz on the interweb here and here to name a couple. If anyone has a good / simple solution, I would be most obliged.

Yes. Yes, I do. Seems to fit fine right where it is on the record. There's enough up and down / slow and fast from track to track already that I think allows it to fit in there.

Examples are Lifes Rich Pageant (What if We Give it Away)
Wrong
Wish You Were Here (Welcome to the Machine, just kind of long and boring to me)

100% yes...actually it has special meaning to me as the first time I saw Radiohead live Fitter Happier was the song they walked out to. I don't know why but I still have chills every time this song pops up!
I didn't see the live thing, but I agree with the 100% yes. For me, OKC is modern day equivalent of Dark Side of the Moon. It all has to be in there, or it's just good songs on a good record. Those albums are both more than the sum of their parts.
I don't know about this 'flawless' business... I think that probably changes over time per listener. It's just another way of saying what you like. I mean, I find less 'flaws' in stuff I like, especially stuff I like a lot. But carry on... I do see a lot of really really good albums listed.

And more horse farms than Kentucky.
I call horsesh*t! Ain't no way, sister.

That seems like a lifetime ago.
And how...

The slinky-dog was always my favorite.

No thanks for the suggestion
Sheesh. Just trying to help.

33 1/3 !
Hey, thanks for doing this again.
The process is fun to watch, and the results are kinda cool too.
The sociological aspect of our inability to follow simple rules as a group is priceless.
I may have asked this last time, but is it easier if we voters send you a spreadsheet you can cut/paste into yours rather than just text in an email to re-type?

So, the kids have managed to infect two of our PC's with AV Security Suite. One much worse than the other. Plan A is to use Spyware Doctor to clean it up, and install Avast to keep a better eye on things.
Sound like a good plan to anyone?
thanks,

So, I bought high violet and like it a lot.
Some of the songs make me think "this is the record that coldplay
wishes they would have made instead of x&y".
That's not a slam at all, just a reaction.
I want to try another one. What do you all recommend to get next,
boxer or alligator? Or something else?

I enjoyed the Target commercials. Other than that, it was an unsatisfying 2.5 hours.
-
I feel a giant "whatever" coming on in the next 149 minutes.

if the album had opened with deeper down and wilco song being a bonus track, the album would have been completely different.
Good point. I don't think "better", but definitely "different".
Wilco (the song) as the opener kinda says "OK, this one's going to be a rock and roll record". Deeper Down says "just kidding, folks".

Congrats you guys!
Hope to see you at a show around here soon.
Wendy,
Sounds like you all have pulled off yet another fantastic evening. That's just a great set of songs.
Indeed...
