last year's description went something like this :
"that's such a nice song.... OK, that's the last nice song you'll hear tonight.."

I enjoyed the thumping of Indiana yesterday (sorry, Scott). Pretty tough game at times, but a heckuva road win for the cats.

its not a solo, but the intro to Romeo & Juliet from Dire Straits always gets me
... which reminded me of the one in Brothers in Arms...
too much to choose from.

Many happy returns of the day, Scott ! !

Way to go! What's the release date?

I really thought this was a joke at first.

The Rolling Stones logo makes me more uncomfortable than it used to. Just sayin'
Megadeath is one I always thought was a little much.

If you're looking for a new car, and there are choices for dealerships, then email and internet are definitely the way to go. Figure out what you want, in a "just looking" mode, then start emailing dealers. Don't be afraid to go out of town, either.
I feel your pain. The only thing I hate worse than buying a car is selling a car...

Happy Birthday, Matt!

OK, so congrats and stuff.
NOW GET OFF THE INTERNET AND GO BE MARRIED ! !

Had tickets and saw the UK - Ryder game today. 30 point win, not all that exciting.
I don't care if you love him or hate him, John Wall is for real.

NP: Nothing. Nothing at all. Just me and the dog in the kitchen, and everyone else is still asleep. I like this part of Saturday.

This thread is much better when it sticks to the blasphemy and eschews commentary on the blasphemy or tediously wanders into the territory of what people like.
I have no idea what you just said.

Kiss, bow, or shake hands? Man, I can never get that part right... where the heck is Hillary when I need her??

Hopefully, we can put 5 out there tonight. Pel has no control of this team.
Maybe Rotnei can drop 50+ again.
Go Hogs! I root for anybody who's playing UL. It's just what we do here.

Today's headline in Lexington: "WALL-ELULIAH"
If Coach Cal can keep everybody's head from getting too big to get in and out of the bus, we should have a pretty exciting season.

Recent discussion at the Tweedy dinner table....
Jeff: So, I've been thinking about doing a full blown country record next time.
Sue: That's nice dear.
Jeff: You know, maybe I could buy a pickup truck, get a new hat.
Sue: Whatever you want to do, dear.
Jeff: I think the guys would go for it.
Sue: OK, dear.
Jeff: We already have the right suits.
Sue: Yes, you do, dear.
Jeff: I'd have to start chewing tobacco or dippin' snuff, you know.
Sue: (pause) Well, at least you wouldn't be lying about learning how to use the washing machine from now on.

Talking Heads was the one that sprung to mind for me. I liked REM a lot too, but if we're going for "favorite", it's gotta be the band with that guy in the oversized suit.

04 Flume (Bon Iver cover)

I pictured him taller.

I like how he skipped the whole "best" vs "favorite" vs "greatest" vs "most important" argument by simply skipping the adjective entirely. We should have thought of that. Brilliant, really.
