OK, what about a time and place for those of us who want to do the pre-show thing? Oddly bashful group here...

Who wants to meet at about 6 o'clock to get something to eat? Buckheads? I don't know much about the place but would like to meet up. Show starts at 8. Or we can do the Pub thing in the ballpark.

Shake it off... hey, that might be a good name for a song or something.

If anyone has an idea for a pre-show meet up that would be nice.

I'm driving up from Lexington for this and would also love to meet up. Johnny said he's a "maybe" as well, and he was going to check with some folks in LVL for a recommendation. Does anybody have a favorite place in that part of town?

i worked at NASA when this was compiled into a poster. apparently there are portions of the images that had to be altered when they were merged together for National Security reasons

Since SBS starts with maybe and ends with yeah, I dumped the lyrics into Word and checked the instances of the word "no". It appears only 9 times in total, on 4 songs (out of 1703 words). Is that a record for Wilco? Dunno. But I find these sort of patterns semi interesting in the context of all the press about SBS being a more "positive" record. I suppose you'd have to add "not", "don't", "won't", shouldn't", etc to get the real tally of negative words.

3 have a song with the word "love" / "loves" in the title (AM, ST, YHF)

All 6 have at least one song with the word "love" / "loves" somewhere in the lyrics

1 has a song with the word "hate" in the title (SBS)

If you go with the one full carry-on, plan to end up with two bags on the way back. It just works that way. Your stuff isn't packed as neatly, and you buy stuff wherever you go. So if you take one of those little duffel bags that fold up and collapse real tiny with you, then you can put all your dirty clothes and stuff in that on the way back and check it. You can put your important stuff & whatever you bought in the carry on without it getting all overstuffed. And you can always just buy a little duffel in LA or wherever you're going too. But stuff swells.... I've been in China for 3 weeks now (going home Sat - yeah!) and I came with 2 and going home with 3 bags... happens every time.

And when the little voice in the airport says we're at defcon orange from the Homeland Security guys, don't panic. We're always at orange.

The Counting Crows / etc show at Slugger field on Aug 3 is general admission. They have two kinds of GA tickets, one for the field and one for the seats. This is not good. But the website for Production Simple (whoever they are) says reserved seating. Dunno.

If it really is GA, then that would explain why it really doesn't matter who has the first presale. Outdoor GA is just not my thing any more....

I am appalled by the disrespect you people have for light bulbs. Have you all thought about how the light bulbs must feel about all of this? It's a disgrace, and I shall have no part in it, I tell you.

Interesting opinions on Thief. For me, it didn't hold up well except a few tracks. I really liked it when it came out but I don't listen to it much any more. But Eraser was a real grower for me. Once I made myself listen to it a dozen times I started liking it a lot, and a lot more than Thief. Still do. Anxiously awaiting the new one, but expecting it to be a grower too.
