  1. You know what, I year or two ago I saw his Comedy Central Presents, and I thought it was alright. Not the funniest thing I've ever seen, but a perfectly acceptable way to waste 22 minutes.

But lately I've read a lot of press about how racist/homophobic much of his act is, and the fact that it's all disguised under the mask of ventriloquism, and I am a bit confused. People didn't seem to have a problem with him until he started making millions of dollars.

There are a lot of bad comedians in the world, and this bad comedian happens to have a shtick that allows him to tell bad jokes.

I was really hoping 30 Rock would dig into him a little more this week...

  2. Bruins traded Kobasew to Minnesota for a 2nd round pick, an unsigned prospect, and an AHLer. Cleared up cap space to bring up Sobotka and Marchand and potentially trade away a Sturm, or Ryder type for Ilya Kovalchuck come the trade deadline. With 9 picks in the first 2 rounds over the next 2 years, we're in good shape.

And if Ilya finds himself in black and gold come March...look out!

Hopefully this will wake the boys up a bit.

  3. So I'm at work, listening to whatever comes up on my Pandora, and a cover of "Listen To What The Man Says" by Wings comes on, and it rocks.

The band's called The Trouble With Sweeney apparently.

The trouble is, I'm not quite sure how I feel about the rest of their EP.

Any fans care to enlighten me?

  4. Urlacher probably out for the season following a wrist injury? WTF?

Admittedly, I know nothing about this injury aside from what's being reported, but how does a WRIST injury keep a linebacker out for the whole season? I know, he has to be able to grab guys and tackle them ... but I can't help but feel like he's wussing out here. (Easy for me to say, sitting on my couch and never having played a single down of organized football.)

Wow! Big blow to Chicago. I just read that on Yahoo.

Last night's game was a nightmare to watch for both teams.

  5. I thought the whole situation was great for the sport. Tennis has been building some steam in the mainstream the last couple of years, and with interesting storylines like this...why no?

Personally, I thought she acted like an athlete who A) isn't used to losing, B) hated the call, C) doesn't care about public opinion.

    I support it.
