I feel like I'm annoying just for asking but...PM?
-
'Oh No' by Dr.Dog.
Other than music a slight ringing...
-
I'm guessing it's a Baritone-standard double neck. Look at the length differences.
The baritone neck with the Capo on 7 would put it in normal tuning Capo 2...curious

The Eagles
Wilco...

Congrats to Pittsburgh, now that Gary got his fix of Crosby on the Cup hopefully Boston will have a chance.
Also, everyone's favorite traffic cone Hal Gill has been forever immortalized...fuck.
-
Nels does overplay from time to time, but this lineup of Wilco is what I call the greatest hits lineup. They have an amazing ability to play every genre Wilco has gone through seamlessly. So overall, I think a little noodling is forgivable.

I can't believe I'm gonna miss a game 7...damn this music business nonsense!

21 plays of the new album says iTunes, and I'm still into it.

Hey y'all-
It's Max, the Total Pro here.
We have not heard from the band about any shows with us yet. I think Jeff likes to use horns later on in the touring cycle to change things up when he goes through a town the second time. Pretty smart, actually. Other factors are geography, and the size of the stages. So, you may see us this summer, but no word as of yet.
I played on the new album, but none of the other Total Pros did. It's just a short 3-bar lick on the outro of "Everlasting Everything".
Cheers,
Max
Thanks Max. I love the horns in Everlasting!

I was just listening to Born Again in the USA today and got to thinking...is Loose Fur now a thing of the past? I'd love to see a new album, even a tour (?!) eventually. O'Rourke should come back to the heartland haha
-
Boring. I guess I'll root for Pittsburgh...?
-
The chorus of Everlasting. It starts in this sort of major key progression (I III- Vi- ii...etc) and then goes to Bb major chord, which resolves to D through C= bVI bVII I (flat six, flat seven, one).
In Wilco (the song) when he sings "is someone twisting a knife in your back" it's Bb to D (bVI to I)...
Hope that clears things up a bit.
-
Quick head count:
Wilco (The Song), Deeper Down, Solitaire, and Everlasting all use bVI (flat six) chords. I think someone found a new love.

speaking of O'Rourke, anyone else think Laminated Cat sounds very similar to "the long way" by Jim?
Sorta. You can tell Jeff was really into that album. They're both in drop D and have a similar picking style.

We are all deeply saddened by this tragedy. We will miss Jay as we remember him -- as a truly unique and gifted human being and one who made welcome and significant contributions to the band's songs and evolution. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends in this very difficult time.

I can't believe this. Unbelievably sad news. God bless his family and thank you Jay for your contributions to Wilco.
-
Enjoy: the matured-Summerteeth vibe. Wilco's comfortability with themselves.
Disappointment: The major key ending of One Wing (!)
-
Positive: New Wilco album.
Negatives: Endless threads.
-
I hate Cup repeats. I hope the Pens win, just for variety's sake.
-
It's a good article, Wilco isn't under investigation here, no need to bash the poor writer.
-
Their newest album (self titled) was really good. Circles might top it though, Jeff Tweedy and Andrew Bird make cameos.
-
Looks like Detroit is cruising into the Finals. I say in 5.

-When friends assume you have the new Wilco album long before it's release date.
-I've got a little Wilco collage above my computer. Two set lists, a pick, 9 ticket stubs (1 signed by Jeff), one concert poster signed by Jeff, and the Being There vinyl.
-When I first met a lot of people at my school they remembered me by "Wilco Wayne".
Unlikely Japan...?
