Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival

yeah, a pair of general admission tickets went on ebay for 470 bucks today ....outrageous -
i think the original argument made some good points. The main one being that Wilco has some trouble ending songs. This i agree with. I have thought this myself many times, there are times when it seems they are just making noise for the sake of making noise and thats supposed to be the end of the song. I know that some songs are fine ending that way, but i also get the feeling when listening to some songs that theres excessive or unnecessary noise and the songs would be a lot better without it. That original post makes you question the band and i like that, it seems almost like a challenge to

Wilco had a great chance to debut at #1 On Billboard

i didnt say you said u liked linkin park, i was just pointing out that its pathetic that linkin park probably will outsell SBS. I have to admit i used to listen to linkin park when hybrid theory came out, but i no longer listen to them and havent in a long time. Hopefully SBS is in the top 3. -
Tickets just went on sale/sold out this morning for the Clapton guitar festival in Bridgeview, IL on July 28th.....for those of you in the Chicago area, Who got their tickets today?? I know i just picked up a pair, this shows going to be amazing

linkin park? cmon give me a break, theyre definitely not as popular as they once were. They had like one decent cd, which kinda sucks if u go back and listen to it now. I sure hope Linkin Park doesnt outsell SBS, but i guess its a realistic possibility sadly -
nice, i need to stop by wreckless records and see wut they got to offer. Maybe pick up some cheap vinyl or discs

i was just wondering last night why you cant be 20 on sugar mountain, this song was stuck in my head. Now it all makes sense, very interesting
-
Well to me in the Wilco song Candyfloss is the metaphor for this girl that is attractive and he is with her but theres a lot of ups and down and he sort of wins her over by the end of the song....at least thats wut i understood from it. In Sugar Mountain i guess its just cotton candy cuz hes talkin about the fair, since neil is canadian this makes sense.
-
is that a word you use a lot in Iowa or sumthin? I live in Chicago and have my whole life and ive never heard anyone say candy floss, except in 2 songs. Interesting that it means cotton candy to canadians, i never knew that ...also i think i need to pick up On the Beach next, hopefully i can get into it as it seems like it takes some dedicated listening
-
not bad, not bad at all....wut show is this song from?
-
what would we be without wishful thinking? i doubt they play either one tho
-
its all good, it just came off as you making me seem stupid for asking that question and i thought it was legitimate....thats all. But i do understand what your saying that it probably doesnt have much to do with it, never kno though candy floss isnt a term thrown around too often. I did come off as defensive but i assure you i am quite mellow as this face indicated
-
lol i guess its fitting im now 'Misunderstood' after that 100th post...but i just thought it was a rude reply to an honest questions, i read the pulling your tail line but that doesnt take away from the original comment. Maybe it didnt mean the same thing as the Neil Young song, but i cant help but think maybe Tweedy picked up those words from this song.
-
your a complete douche bag....countless songs have noise, friends and mother and dad in the song. To date ive only heard 2 songs with the words Candy Floss in them. WHy then is it not logical to think they might have had something to do with one another?? I'm sure young was an influence on Tweedy, so why do u have to be an ass about it?
-
i was just listening to Sugar Mountain and couldnt help but hear the lyrics..... Its so noisy at the fair But all your friends are there And the CANDY FLOSS you had And your mother and your dad ......and i assumed thats where the Wilco song Candy Floss comes from, is this true?
-
i think i need to stop by my local used record store for sure

i was thinking the same thing, does it depend on the charity whether theyre deductible or not?
