The thing to keep in mind is not only bit rate but file type. You get a higher quality out of an AAC (the standard i tunes format) than a normal mp3 with the same bitrate. For example (this is a guesstimate) say 128 AAC sounds the same as 160 mp3 or better. That's because an AAC is really an mp4 which manages the data more efficiently to get higher audio resolution at a lower bit rate, whoop, dropped my pocket protector.

Why would anyone use an AAC or MP4? I think those are apple specific. MP3s are universal and can be shared easily cause of it. Down with everything else that is chopping music.

Yeah for me, I only started getting into the NFL a couple years back so dont know the classic matchups of the old days. Even with the Yanks and BSox, I assume there is a huge history but dont know much about it. Just know what I saw in that decade or so. I am from Chicago so I mostly pay attention to the NL until playoffs. So I made the relation on exciting matchups in sports of recent. Maybe classic was the wrong word, but you can see the NE and Indy teams having some great battles for years to come.

Maybe not classic but for the last couple of years, it has been the one to watch. The two best teams in the last couple of years. Brady vs. Manning as the best QB ever.

The Red Sox have never played, and will never play, the Yankees in the World Series. That was the ALCS.

Not bad. definitely watchable. The sound is good, one great source. The video is about the quality of a bootleg, but they got 3 diff cameras and the editing was done very well to change throughout the concert. The concert was an amazing show.

I hear The Frames are big over there. I really like them but they are nothing here. So underappreciated IMO. I feel it maybe too late for them to reach a popular status in the US cause they have released several albums already. Just wondering how big they are there.

But isn't kind of watered down and doesn't it lose its appeal (particularly for those outside of the greater NE region) when ESPN shows all 17-18 regular-season games between the two teams? We get it -- it's a rivalry. It's like Duke basketball -- ESPN shows every Duke game. It's not hard to understand where the perception that ESPN only shows those teams comes from.

I guess I dont get exposed to that cause I only see the matchups in the playoffs which didnt even happen this year. I guess it can get old for people not in the region.

I like U2, but is there any real reason for a 20 year old album being reissued? It isn't like it was out of print or anything.

Yeah, U2 is the king of this kinda stuff. They even got an iPod designed for them. So much U2 stuff out there. I wont buy it all and I look past all their marketing and enjoy the music. Also, its not like they are just some uncaring rich rockstar partying their lives away. Bono has done alot of giving back to the world.

I still buy all their studio albums and cherish the classic U2. I think they deserve all the recognition they have more for their overall career.

I like the Red Sox and Yankees matchups. Its a classic matchup in baseball. Kinda like the Pats vs. Indy matchup in NFL. I look foward to it. Although I like to see other teams win, when the matchup happens, its always fun because all the history involved.

I dont pay attention to ESPN baseball, so dont know what they favor. During regular season, I only watch the Cubs. It's only playoffs that I would watch any other baseball game than a Cubs game. And I have enjoyed the Yanks and Red Sox series so much. I think the year the Red Sox cameback in from 0-3 in the WS was probably the best WS I ever saw. Second was when Diamond Backs beat Yanks.

No, not really. Yeah, the local teams get more coverage than others, but every time the Yankees and Red Sox play each other, it's still plastered all over ESPN here as much as it is in New York.

Joshua Tree, the ultimate U2 album, I think is a total classic. I own the cd and vinyl of this and not sure I will buy the new editions but wanted to comment on my love for the album.

The younger people may think of U2 in a different way cause of their gigantic pop status and their music has changed alot, but this album is what U2 is about for me. This album has some of the best stuff. Start to end, GREAT!!

Its got alot of radiohead stuff on there not just that. I got 2 other radiohead dvds also. Also tons of other great bands. Tons of Wilco. My fav place but been hearing things about OINK and hear thats better.

Bit rate matters to me, which is why I didn't end up paying for the Radiohead disc, yet (I will buy the CD when it's released.)

Exact same for me. I downloaded it for free because I would never pay for mp3s of any bitrate, but I plan to buy the cd and vinyl when released.

160 bitrate is a bit low, but they asked people to put their own price so its totally fair. I would normally rip in 256 bitrate.

Anyways I did get my SBS cd that I got from my Vinyl purchase stolen from me, so I was thinking of buying the dvd combo but may wait for this new set.
