Just saw "I'm Happy, I'm Singing and a 1-2-3-4" on Ebay. Sold for $50.

$50.00 on ebay huh. Whoa.

Did anyone here ever get ahold of his newest album "Translate Takemitu"? I'm pretty sure it was only released in Japan, so the import price on Amazon is pretty steep. From what I heard it was solo piano with some electronics. Anyone know anything else about it?

I need to hear this.

There's also "I'm Happy, I'm Singing and a 1-2-3-4"which was released a couple, three years ago. All recorded on his laptop.

Bad Timing, Halfway..., Eureka (which IS his masterwork) & Insignificance are all great.

Oh, geez. The "Farrar Whine" is on overdrive on that goddamned song. After the respite provided by Gob Iron, I was hoping maybe we'd seen the last of it...

 

There's a track from Ry Cooder's forthcoming record on that site, too, if anybody's interested. Way better than SV's offering.

While I prefer Jay's mournful baritone, I like his chance taking within his vocal register on this particular track. Great song.

As for the Ry Cooder track - not a cosigner.
