  1. I loved that portion of the show! After the ball drop they just turned into a cover band for forty minutes. Jeff even made a quip about it at one point.
  2. The new years show they did with The Flaming Lips in 2004 was a great show for covers: Livin' After Midnight Love Will Keep Us Together Political Science I Shall Be Released Something In The Air (Don't Fear) The Reaper Gut Feeling / Slap Your Mammy Comment (If All Men Are Truly Brothers)
  3. A quick google came up with this: http://www.fixya.com/support/t290537-moving_music_tracks_from_dell_dj does this help?
  4. That's what I was trying to say. People seem to tend towards disconnection with newer music as they grow older. Don't know if that's how you took it.
  5. I definitely notice myself reprimanding these kids today with their taste in music. Lupe Fiasco's pretty good for a noob. Common's still droppin good stuff. Mos Def's last album was re-freakin-freshing after his last pile of hot garbage.
  6. In the last year or two Brother Ali, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis and Atmosphere have all released good records. Funny story, I saw them at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT and Evidence, one of the rappers, was outside handing out... Dilated Peoples eyedrops. I still have them to this day. It's one of the coolest promo items I have, just a bottle of eye drops with the dilated peoples logo on them.
  7. I live in CT and still almost forget that second "c" sometimes. Albuquerque took me forever to learn how to spell, on a completely non-geographically related note.
  8. Well, it's on the intertubes. Not sure when it is officially released, but what does everyone think about it? I'm on my first listen now. They definitely felt free to make it a Flaming Lips album, which I'm happy with. It's weird hearing it in such a different light, but in a lot of ways fitting as well.
  9. "Well sure, I just downed a six pack of red bull cola, but at least I'm not snorting Jolt!"
  10. Lately I would have to agree, I've been getting into bourbons straight, but sometimes I'll be somewhere where they don't have anything I enjoy straight/on the rocks, so I'll mix something like Jack & ginger.
  11. Oh, I wouldn't include seltzer/tonic water/club soda either, as they all lack everything I'd assume you gave up soda for: the sugar/corn syrup, phosphoric acid, etc. Did you drink an exceptional amount of soda prior to giving it up or did you just decide that you're better off without it?
  12. Damn, what do you mix drinks with? I could get away with no soda with vodka, but rum or whiskey?
  13. I haven't smoked since January, I've begun cycling (clocked 500 miles on my new bike, not the most but it's a start), running and wall climbing regularly, and I split up my check deposit at work into a bill account, spending account, and savings account and have stuck with it. Oh, and I went on a nice 5500 mile, 16 state road trip!
  14. I saw him at Bonnaroo a couple years ago and really enjoyed his set. There was a lot of energy and he invited a fan onto stage to let him play his own song. Plus, I think they thought they were at the original Woodstock the way the band looked.
  15. Right? Oh and the taxi! I was like "wouldn't she have just left the taxi waiting while she ran in to get her id?" But it was a great show nonetheless and the ending was awesome.
  16. I would've been thoroughly disappointed if it was a dream sequence. Did anyone else think the chronology of the finale was a little tight as far as Dexter and Trinity getting everything done that they did? I Trinity figuring out where Dexter actually lived & getting there, and then Dexter figuring out that Trinity had the mustang, and getting in the mustang before Trinity got there were the two main moments where I was kinda like "they really worked that out in time?"
  17. Nevermind, didn't see the last list! Ha. At least we're not all homebodies.
  18. I could be wrong, I need to watch it again too. It'd be kind of interesting having Trinity stick around a little longer and I don't think many people would mind. And yes, the finale looks like it's going to be an absolutely insane hour of television! I wondered that as well. Like, was Christine asking for some hope of redemption, and felt it was a lost cause after Deb said she couldn't forgive her? I kinda feel like Deb should've been more on top of that situation. She should've had her in handcuffs sooner.
  19. So we know that Deb finds out who Dexter's mother is, and she also knew Ice Truck Killer is Brian Moser. I'm guessing she'll make the connection that they were siblings, but she'll take Dex's word that he didn't know. Also did it look like Dexter was arrested in the previews? I can't wait to see what happens at the beginning of next week's episode!
  20. I showed up right at opening last year and got in fine.
  21. I swear sometimes speculation is worse for me. I'd rather watch the dexter post here than go to showtime's official forum only because the people talking there are soooooo ridiculous.
  22. I completely agree with the more of "him" part. Nothing against Zooey, but I would have loved if it was more of a collaboration vocally than it turned out to be.
  23. I also have a hard time believing it, mostly because I just wouldn't want another big revelation to be some other hidden familial connection.
  24. Interesting information that I just stumbled upon on another forum, and possibly a spoiler:
  25. Wow, Bonnie Prince Billy, Jeff Tweey, and the Mountain Goats, for $15? Plus all the comedy in between?!?
