  1. I don't think it's that they don't get along. I'm not sure they have ever even met. I think it's just Whiskeytown and Uncle Tupelo were sort of rivals back in the day, and Ryan is pretty well known for being wild and disrespectful towards other artists. Jeff was too back then, but to a much lesser extent. Their fan bases over lap since they play kind of similar music.

    Uncle Tupelo broke up in 1994 the year Whiskeytown began.

  2. This reminds me, I think the definition of Barbecue is slightly different in the USA to other English speaking countries. Or at least the usage of the word in New zealand. For some reason we don't call the food cooked at a bbq (event) barbecue. You can say "come over we are having a bbq tonight" or "Throw somne more steaks on the barbie" But not " I'm eating leftover barbecue for lunch" or "mm that's some tasty barbecue right there". I think South Africa and Argentina are the ones who really do it right though.
