Apart from opinions of the album would anyone care to comment about how they felt about this way of hearing the album via the stream first? And is this the first one since Summerteeth that didn't leak first?

Oh crap do I listen, or do I wait till the 27th, listen or Wait, listen or Wait...hmmm. On the one hand I didn't enjoy Streaming Sky Blue Sky and consequently skipped streaming Wilco (the album). But on the other hand I am certainly psyched to hear the new one and wouldn't be able to go near the forum till the end of the month if I did abstain from listening.

Putting the sheet over the car didn't seem to help.

I don't think anybody should listen to any of this record until we've all heard it.

My main problem with Wilco the album is Johns bass sound. Overcompressed and lacking any texture it pushes you away rather than drawing you into the songs. It's a pity because what he plays on most of it is superb.

Have the decency to wait until everybody has heard the song.

That cover of New Madrid is very nice. I should listen to Uncle Tupelo more.

What i mean is should i pre order it or just down load the deluxe version the day it comes out? Is the only difference that i hand my money over sooner?

With all the new people on the board I hoped that this was going to be a slightly different thread. Oh well, I guess the new album will be out soon then we will see (fingers crossed)
