it sounds alright, but the actual performances seem to missing something to me. After seeing them live I was extremely disappointed that KT didn't remind me of any of their live performances. There is almost no excitement.

The Kicking Television CD sounded impersonal and nervous. Ive seen Wilco live multiple times, and their shows are nothing like that. It's almost like Jeff knew the show was going to be used for the album, and tires too hard to make the band sound perfect. It results in a soulless group of songs. It my least favorite thing the band has ever done. I can see why they decided NOT to release it on DVD.

The first time i tried to download the DC show it stopped short and gave me an error. The second time worked though. The DC show is 28 tracks..and it sounds great. The show has a great mix of all their albums. Its worth the price of the DVD alone. It's a shame it will only be up for a week (April 28th). Wilco fans..act quickly. This totally makes up for the crappy Kicking Television set..

FYI..I had to re-register in order for my downloads to pop up. I used the same email address, it worked just fine.

they are obviously working on getting the content up. I would imagine it will be up by then end of the day.
-
that's so strange...

its not working for me either..I cant access the Ashes Content or the DC content.

watched it last night. Fantastic. The sound mix is incredible. not sure the point of having his father there, but it's easy to see how awkward their relationship is. Jeff might be a brilliant musician, but he is socially inept.

no thanks, I'm fine with agreeing to disagree.

I'm not threatened, I just find your hostility hillarious. You fly off the handle way to easy.

Really? hmm I thought your post would be worst.record.ever or maybe the f word three times. I'm glad you haven't given up on it. I think it's one the best Wilco records yet. It's like the anti-being there. I've played it for several people and everyone I know seems to love it just as much as I do.

a mournful masterpiece

hmm... so now we can't like it or hate it? I'll admit that I was instantly in love with the album the minute I heard it. Something I can't say for Ghost is Born, which took me a few listens to fully appreciate. Of course, this isn't nearly as complex as that record. So I find it much easier to like/dislike.

agreed, thank you for actually responding like an adult.

LIAR!! it doesn't snow in S.Florida. I should know, I live in Boca. There is a big difference between saying you dislike something and saying "it sucks, and fuck all those who disagree with me" No need to scream so much. The negativity on this board is tremendous.

nothing wrong with disliking the record, but acting like a complete tool doesn't really make me care about your opinion. This is a Wilco message board, it's pretty obvious you have entered the Church of Tweedy. I love him, no denial here.
-
judging by that response, I would say that is pretty safe to assume. Go take a cold shower or something. How old are you?
-
ha ha I was there. I ran up front too.

I don't know, I think it reminds me more of Neil Young then 70's cheese folk. It's a bit simplistic for a Wilco record, but i'm cool with the mellow vibe. My favorite wilco songs have always been the slower ones. I could see why people would be disappointed if they were expecting a louder record.
