WILCO - 10/12/2009 Columbus, OH
kissel me some more replied to Uncle Jeffro's topic in After The Show
To 'Sunshine': sorry if I ruined the show for you. I 'misunderstood' the signs on the way in (I thought it said no camcorders - I know, I'm a dummy...) So, I wasn't trying to break the rules. I was just trying to capture some of the magic for my son to enjoy later. Most of the time I was recording I had the camera at chest level though - I think I must have gotten in your field of vision while I was holding the camera up to take some still photos. Want one? Let me know - I got some good shots. My seven year old son had the time of his life. He has watched all the Wilco movies and we'v -

Best Thing To Happen To You While Wearing a Wilco Shirt?
kissel me some more replied to SarahC's topic in Just A Fan
So there I was, sitting at the food court in the mall at Christmas time wearing my long sleeve navy blue t-shirt from YHF. Santa comes riding up the escalator and says "Wilco - have you ever seen them live?", So I says "Yes, many times. Santa, they are my favorite!". To which he replies "I will be sure to let them know". -

My sister was supposed to fly in from Philly and we were going to drive in from Pittsburgh. Her flight never made it so I ended up taking my five year old son. We had such a great time! He had been bugging us to go to a Wilco show for quite some time and I thought this was the perfect opportunity. We had seats in row "A" center which would have been perfect except for the woman who had a seat much further back but decided to stand directly in front of me instead. She seemed to be the only one doing this, everyone else seemed to be very respectful of the aisle that was in front of us. We w -
Trade: My 2 PIT row AAA Lakewood, Ohio for seats further back
kissel me some more replied to rambler's topic in Got Extras?
I have two seats in row 'A' that I would be happy to trade. Row A usually has an aisle in front of it so it may be good for them. Let me know - gsouthern5@comcast.net -
[Does anyone know what the problem was about the dancing? Was security really preventing people from dancing? I was seriously hoping everyone would move the chairs out of the way and create a general area, but then I realized the chairs were all bolted together. That would have taken some serious organizing (and tools...)! That was actually my husband who was dancing. I did not see it (I was sitting with a friend because I much prefer the Pat side). My husband was sitting on the end of the row on the floor apparently getting down with his bad self. Security came up to him and told him

Pittsburgh was a seated venue. In my limited experience those shows just don't seem to be as fun. Jeff commented on how much he liked Pittsburgh and referenced another city that he did not like. He then mentioned that Cleveland sucked. This got a pretty big response from the crowd seeing as how Pittsburgh hates the Browns and all. After the show I heard him defending himself a couple of times saying that he was baited and does not really dislike Cleveland. Glad you saw such a great show!

Yeah, I saw him right after his jog too - In shorts!! The crowd did not seem to be very into it in the beginning. Very few shouted "hello" during IATTBYH. I thought "shoot we aren't going to get a good show". Turns out I could not have been more wrong! They did not seem to smile that much like when I saw them this summer but the played an amazing show and setlist. They could have been smiling during the encores but that is when the three GINORMOUS men in front of me stood up so I could not see anything. Guys - if you read this thanks so very much for sitting up to that point. -
Face value. I will be leaving for the show around 1:30 so please let me know ASAP if you are interested: gsouthern5@comcast.net

I think it was Red Bank (although it may have been Merriweather) when Jeff said something after the song like: 'That is a true story - it is not mine - but it is true' and I just remember John smiling.
