  1. Thanks for having my back Robert We're still trying to recover from the disastrous weather so I can't keep up on who's saying what like I normally would
  2. Listen as soon as we finish cleaning up the town and I can get my computer to stay online for more than 10 mins, I'll do it. I'll tell the National Guard to get on with it already, alright?!? Geesh...
  3. Despite the warm weather, the National Guard has just arrived
  4. Oh and I forgot to tell you about John Stiratt being a "fan". Apparently he gave some guy who worked for Neil all his vinyl and Neil autogrpahed them all for him. John was SOOO super pumped!!! There I was being all excited about talking to John and Pat and John was getting all excited about his albums. Also, he thanked the guy for the "great seats" for this particular show. He said they were the BEST ones they had been given to watch Neil on the entire tour. No wonder he's so humble around us...INCREDIBLE!!!
  5. They tried and did well but Jeff didn't really make the big deal out of it that he usually does.
  6. At one point I was outside listening to security and I'm pretty sure it was that woman they were talking about. They wanted to get her medical attention but her male counterpart was not only refusing to let her have help but starting fighting w/ security and the paramedics!!! Good Lord!!!
  7. So while the power is slowly but surely coming back on the devastation to the trees is just awful!!! Like I said last night, most of Worcester is fine but towns like the ones I live in...omg! I just can't imagine what it's going to look like in the spring and fall. We've lost SO much. It'll take many, many years for our landscape to recover. Again I'm glad I've heard of no deaths or injuries but the beating that the world around us has taken is just so devastating. "War zone" and "mass destruction" are the two most common terms I keep hearing around me...*sigh*
  8. Ditto on all here. I actually wasn't planning on attending as I was suppose to work last night. So the ice storm was actually a blessing for me. I went and picked up a ticket at 5p and ran into Walken and his girl waiting outside w/ the rest of the GA crowd. I got an AMAZING seat! I guess it pays when you're picking up just a single ticket I talked to the folks behind me who were huge Neil fans but of course had never heard of Wilco. They said "Well, they must SOMETHING if they're opening for Neil!" I really was impressed with what they picked for their set list. I thought they did a g
  9. Dear Pat, I promised you that the pictures would be up last night. But I found out that while I had electricity back at home, I have no internet. (I'm just borrowing this for the moment.) I promise you the first moment I get, I will post them here. Remember tho, only a cell so not such great quality. Hope you had fun at The Dive and wherever else you guys went! Take Care, Ellen aka WW P.S. Thanks SO MUCH to you and John for being the cool, gracious, humble men that you are!!!
  10. Went down to see about getting a last minute ticket. Plenty of opportunity in all price ranges for single tickets! And 4 craZZZy Neil Young fans were already sitting outside before 2p
  11. Oh and I just got a call saying part of my town is up and running so I'm going to head home and check out my house and see what's up! And I just may get a Wilco ticket last minute too! Oh Happy Day!!!
  12. I unfortunately had the chicken pox during that. So even though there was ALL that amazing snow outside to play in, I had to stay in and watch all the kids go out and play
  13. For us, 'Adventures in Babysitting' was a cult classic. You should see it at least ONCE! Maggie from CT - I am sorry that I referred to you as a guy. I'm a dolt! Many pardons... Although the Neil Young/Wilco concert is still on, there are some limited parts of the city without power but that area is COMPLETELY fine. No trees you see, which is the main problem. As for our small towns, I heard this morning from National Grid we are looking at NO EARLIER than Monday...*sigh* Guesss I'll be bringing the kiddos back here tomorrow afternoon. On the bright side, I have heard of no injuries
  14. I just looked up the Santa Speedo run...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK!!!...lol
  15. Outside as it is a stand alone building so dress warm!!!
  16. I know it's a little late to be accepting but I could buy it from you. How much tho? I could meet you somewhere this afternoon. It's hard for me to get online right now as I am displaced from my home so feel free to call my cell 508-414-9449 and we'll see if we can work something out. Thanks, Ellen
  17. You all should be MORE than fine. They had the concerts Thursday and Friday that were scheduled as previously stated here. This part of Worcester is in good condition. Depending on what parts you travel, you'd never know anything happened here. Rock on!
  18. Loretta - The girls are set up in some lovely hotel suite somewhere w/ their father, stepmother and the rest of the clan *sigh* Wayne- You proved exactly what I was talking about. Guy in NY - don't know your name...I had NO IDEA it snowed anywhere in the Northeast! Yvon - Thank you! And oh my Lord Thor...if it was the version that Vincent D'Onofrio played in 'Adventures in Babysitting'. I'll take JUST him that should provide plenty of heat and electricity
  19. So how are those affected holding up?!? I heard 280,000 people are without in New Hampshire. In Massachusestts, the town I live, the one I work and the one where my children spend their weekends are all going to be out for at least 2-4 days. CraZZZy!!! I stayed at my house overnight because I THOUGHT I had heat. Turns out...I didn't. So now I'm spending the next couple of days at my Mom's and waiting to hear when I should expect to be back at work. It seems as though mostly the rural areas were affected due to the heavy tree branches being the problem. Last night, while I was alone in the
  20. Well, I'm glad to see someone else agrees. I felt a little unbiased recommending it as my friend owns it
  21. My oldest daughter's school sang this tonight for their Holiday Concert. A boy spoke about John right before they performed. I have to say it was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Actually, it brought tears to my eyes. What a great wait to celebrate his spirit and this season. RIP
