  1. The update is...there is no update. The meeting has been postponed to an as of yet undetermined time. We have a regular schedule for this week. Ugh!
  2. Thank you all for the well wishes! I'm heading out now and by the time I get back online tonight...*sigh*...I should know. *fingers crossed*
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS EDIE!!! Hope you have a GUH-REAT day!!!
  4. Well, I guess the East Coast isn't ending the year as well as I thought (as stated in my Reverse the Curse thread). We are having a mandatory meeting tomorrow at my restaurant in which they will be telling us whether we will or will not be closing. It appears the storms were a much bigger detriment than we realized. Between loss of business, product, etc we are barely treading water. My boss does have an umbrella insurance policy but they, of course, are dragging their feet and the adjuster has not been returning any calls. So the owner and manager will be on the phone all day tomorrow hopin
  5. This seemed to work for A LOT of people last year and we've had requests to do it again this year. So I figured I'd give everyone here a week rather than just the two days like last year. So again...whether you want to write it here or send me a PM, I'll be more than happy to burn your worries away for you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! I just got back home after being out for a day and a half of travels here and there. It was the busiest AND BEST Christmas (personally) in 10 years!!! The time with my friends, family and my boyfriend's family was great! The chef (b/f) cooked up a great midday feast and then my Mom made a great meal and desserts to end the night! Best gift for me - iPod Touch. Best gift for the girls - Nintendo DS's (they've been waiting VERY patiently for 3 years). They've been using them pretty much non-stop for the past 6 hours or so. It's SOOO great to see them SOOO happy!!!
  7. My youngest daughter (10 yrs old/4th grade) SWEARS her gym teacher was playing 'Hummingbird' for them while they were dribbling basketballs. Apparently she was using it to keep time
  8. We're expecting 11 to 18 inches over Massachusetts. On my hour drive home today (which usually takes about 15 mins), I noticed there were plenty of electrical trucks still out there working through the storm. God bless them and all the others who have thrown their entire lives into trying to get those in need back up and running as soon as possible!
  9. I explained what this couple did (just the name not the cake "incident") to my 10 yr old. She knows about the Holocaust vaguely but not who Hitler was. So I said he was the guy that decided all of that should happen. In response to the parents, she said "Well, that's STUPID!" No better way to put it
  10. So it's only getting worse for some people... There's a town up the road still without electricity, heat, water and some even food and two big snowstorms on the way. There's an elderly couple in that town caring for their 50 yr old paraplegic son who can't leave. Some people are being told they won't be up and running until AFTER Christmas. These poor people...electricians, firefighters, police, National Guard, etc. are working around the clock. My boss/friend/neighbor two doors over still has no power and they just got heat and hot water back yesterday due to a generator being run into th
  11. For me 'Radio Cure'... I get a sense of cold/darkness from it...makes me want to burrow down under my covers. I love it. I'd even say it's my favorite from YHF.
  12. Ummm, no...Pat asked me if I would put the pics up and this is for him. Thanks for the suggestion, tho! EDIT: When I've met the others I didn't see a need for a thread. This was specifically asked for by Pat.
  13. Yea, I was thinking how he looks much more like a President from the 1800's rather than a present day musician
