The update is...there is no update. The meeting has been postponed to an as of yet undetermined time. We have a regular schedule for this week. Ugh!

Well, I guess the East Coast isn't ending the year as well as I thought (as stated in my Reverse the Curse thread). We are having a mandatory meeting tomorrow at my restaurant in which they will be telling us whether we will or will not be closing. It appears the storms were a much bigger detriment than we realized. Between loss of business, product, etc we are barely treading water. My boss does have an umbrella insurance policy but they, of course, are dragging their feet and the adjuster has not been returning any calls. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! I just got back home after being out for a day and a half of travels here and there. It was the busiest AND BEST Christmas (personally) in 10 years!!! The time with my friends, family and my boyfriend's family was great! The chef (b/f) cooked up a great midday feast and then my Mom made a great meal and desserts to end the night! Best gift for me - iPod Touch. Best gift for the girls - Nintendo DS's (they've been waiting VERY patiently for 3 years). They've been using them pretty much non-stop for the past 6 hours or so. It's SOOO great to see them SOOO happy!!!

My youngest daughter (10 yrs old/4th grade) SWEARS her gym teacher was playing 'Hummingbird' for them while they were dribbling basketballs. Apparently she was using it to keep time

We're expecting 11 to 18 inches over Massachusetts. So it's only getting worse for some people... There's a town up the road still without electricity, heat, water and some even food and two big snowstorms on the way. There's an elderly couple in that town caring for their 50 yr old paraplegic son who can't leave. Some people are being told they won't be up and running until AFTER Christmas. These poor people...electricians, firefighters, police, National Guard, etc. are working around the clock.
