"Kingston's a bit of a rough town" That's an understatement! Similar to Poughkeepsie, I saw wilco at the "miracle" Chance show. Tweedy referred to Poughkeepsie as a tertiary market during his stage banter... I died laughing. What a sick show, I cruised up to the bar and found Mikey from Orange County Choppers doing shots with Marist college sorority girls!!!!!

Sorry you missed out. It was my second solo Jeff show. Great show but the crowd was odd, Dick heads heckled JT. I'll never understand anyone paying top dollar just to heckle. Same thing at my last Wilco show at Starland in jersey...Jeff actually called the guy out that time. "black eye sucks" huh?

Great thread, lots of strong points. I tried to see If I could apply a grade to the art but I just couldn't. Art is hard, it's subjective, thats why many don't attempt it. I guess I have a paternal/maternal type relationship with each album. Parents love each of their children in different ways for different reasons at different times. Many people give AM a low grade, for me, I find myself listening to it just as much as Summer Teeth. I guess the ugly red-headed half brother has to shine sometime.

I agree. Huge Glenn fan here. I caught Jeff solo up in Kingston NY about a year ago. Glenn rocked as the opener and as always was ridiculous while playing with Jeff. Hammerstein is a great venue. I've seen a lot of shows there, most recently clap your hands on NYE. I've seen scalpers at every show right out front, they do charge ridiculous amounts of money, some sell fakes too. Got to love NYC! Anyway, your best bet is to watch Craigs list. I've scored hard tickets at decent costs there. I'll keep an eye out for you.

I've read on other blogs that "Let's Fight" is an amazing song. Haven't been fortunate enough to hear it live. Anyone have a recording?

I just purchased "Let's Not Get Carried Away" on ITUNES and I'm loving it. Too bad it was left off the LP. Anyone know if they recorded "The Thanks I Get" during the SBS sessions? I wouldn't mind hearing a studio cut of that.
