  1. So... I'm sure this may have been discussed, but I'm really curious and couldn't find anything. What was the deal with the scene at the very end with Jeff and his dad? I am a relative newcomer to the Wilco scene, so maybe I don't know about their relationship. I first saw Wilco on Austin City Limits when they were pimping AGIB in 2004. Anyhow, the scene seamed like Jeff and his dad have a very interesting relationship. I thought it was odd that they threw that in there at the end and their interactions were so awkward. Any thoughts or insights?
  2. Well, I think you were right. After fooling around with a bunch of Craigslist assholes and losing a couple eBay auctions, I think my luck is up. It's cool, though, I'm going to make damned sure that I get online to buy tickets for the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati as soon as they go on sale. Hope everyone has an awesome time, and drink one for me! I'll break out the Ashes DVD and wait patiently for the summer tour.
  3. Well, I have a few prospects lined up, so wish me luck. Nothing wrong with BW3's for some good beer and wings. Dude... I'm very sorry, this sucks. That is some horrible luck, but hopefully your internship will prove to be lucrative.
  4. Is anyone going to be in attendance of the show this Firday night in Athens, Ohio? I looked for posts but haven't seen anyone talking about it. I am trying to secure tickets now, because I wasn't sure if I could make it. I think I should be able to get a couple tickets by Friday, but I've never been to Ohio U. Does anyone have any information about parking, local eateries and pubs, etc?
  5. She-Rah, Honey I hope you can... There is something wrong with me.
  6. A Ghost is born is to Sky Blue sky as Tonight's the Night is to Comes a Time (or silver in gold)... imo.
  7. Thanks very much for the tip, I will check that out for sure. My Wilco experience so far has been enjoyable. I started with A Ghost is Born, because I was really into the set they did on Austin City Limits, and I decided to buy that album. I shortly thereafter bought YHF, and was also a big fan of that album. I've been listening to those two albums for a couple years now and then a friend of mine got a hold of an advance copy of SBS, and I listened to that for a few weeks until the special edition hit the shelves. I went out to the store on release day morning and there were plenty of co
  8. Thanks for the welcome. I'm still trying to secure tickets to the 6/14 show in Cincinnati, but I wasn't quick enough when they went on sale, and there are some pretty crappy seats left. Unfortunately there are a whole lot of scalpers all over the net making a fortune off of Wilco's music. I put a post on Craigslist, so I'm hoping some honest soul out there is going to come through with some tickets they don't want and will sell for face value. It's got to be a horrible feeling for the guys in the band to know all these people out there are buying up tickets to their show and keeping the
  9. Hi folks, I'm a first-timer on these boards, and an admittedly new Wilco fan. I started listening to the band after seeing them on Austin City Limits a few years ago with Bright Eyes for the Ghost is Born tour. Anyhow, I love SBS with a passion. I think this is such a great album, and the DVD that came with it really was something special. I am a big fan of the sound on this DVD and as some of you have mentioned (and I agree with you) the DVD is almost better than the studio cuts. That said, I wish I could get a recording of these sessions in their entirity just for listening pleasure,
