  1. This is a good discussion to have, and I've enjoyed it.

Me too. It's just that so many people are getting defensive. It's really not going to change anything either way, so you shouldn't get all in a huff... If it wasn't a good discussion, it wouldn't be almost 30 pages long.

Also, I clicked on that article "Music Is Not A Loaf Of Bread" and there was a Volkswagen advertisement. I nearly pissed my pants :yay

  2. there was a cop shot and killed in cleveland heights on friday by a man who was off his anti-psychotic meds (no health insurance, no job, no meds). the gun was reported stolen from a home robbery in pennsylvania. at this point (and i am saying this as a gun owner), perhaps this country isn't responsible enough to have guns. even good people have guns stolen and put into the black market, so let's grab up those guns too.

Yuck... I'll be moving up to Elyria this summer, so that kinda freaks me out.

  3. I waited and ran straight out to my local independent music store and bought the CD/DVD combo the day it came out. By noon that day I had already listened to the album twice and watched the DVD once. I don't like fooking around with preorders on things I want right away. Also, one of the music shops in my town closed down due to lack of business and I don't want the last one left to shut down too, so I go in there often to browse and buy random crap.

  4. also, we drive a VW...so i'm going to side w/ Jeff on this whole thing. just keep in mind i also drive a Honda, so i'm a japanese slave labor sympathizer. and a frat boy.

What are you if you take public transportation? ...besides broke?

  5. For acts that I've followed since they were small, I usually start to lose interest when I can no longer experience them in an intimate setting.

me too... I'm one of the people who hangs around after the show to say "good job, guys!" or ask questions or whatever. So the fact that I've never gotten to see Wilco live and I probably can't get close enough to give Nels Cline so much as a thumbs up is sad, but I still love the music.
