  1. yeah, I love Loose Fur. That album's amazing, their debut was very solid as well.

I own both, but Born Again In The USA is my favorite by far.

Ruling Class..Doesn't get better than that! Well, maybe Hey Chicken..I think you get what I'm trying to say :)

Does anyone else think maybe Hey Chicken was written about Bennett?

  2. I think it would be cool to use the chat page to have a realtime chat through the webcast. It'll be like watching it with friends, only it won't be insanely obnoxious to everyone else to talk through the performance. see the "Because I'm Kind Of A Geek" thread or click here if you're interested.

  3. No, that was yesterday. Today's webcast is open to everyone.

Be patient Jeffa. I'm checking the Wilco site, and when a link to the webcast becomes available, i'll post it in "the official thread."

I heart helpful Internet people :wub

  4. I'm in a band with a guy who does that all the time. He'll present a song to m e, and I'm like "Dude, that sounds just like !" and he usually just keeps on going with it. Eventually, it takes a turn and ends up sounding like our song when we jam on it for a little bit.

  5. But is it a bad thing when a band becomes more popular? Why does it seem that some fans bemoan the fact their favorite band is no longer seen in a 150 person bar because they can now fill a much larger arena? I don't quite understand this "logic".

I get excited when I hear a band I like on the radio. I used to play Modest Mouse's The Moon and Antarctica at work a lot and people bitched about it until Float On became pretty regularly played. I was pretty happy about that.

The only reason I would like bands to play small clubs and bars is because it makes them more approachable after the show. I like to talk to the performers afterwards, but I'm not going to try sneaking around and being all obnoxious to try to get to them.

  6. It's epic. I always dug the fact that Jeff put up the cash to make it a double album, that's moxy.

Hell yeah... one of the many things he did to show that he was going to do whatever he wanted no matter what the record companies said about it.

  7. I WANT people to hear Sky Blue Sky. Pitchfork's ridiculously low rating may turn away a lot of music fans.

    Exactly...

I want people to hear it and like it because I enjoy having music as a common bond between a friend and myself.

Also I agree that I just don't understand how someone can't enjoy something that I love so much.
