i didn't nominate them, and hey, let's face it: the commander and his ship are a disaster. they should have been ousted years ago. and if you take a long hard look -- or even a short easy look -- the signs were there very early on. i more than understand that it's easier for a person like "jules" to throw unthinking crap at people on a message board who can't stand what's happened to our country than it is to actually look at it and try to do something constructive to salvage the mess, but you know, to your pal: please consider growing up. even a little bit might help, ya never know

thanks everybody. if only 1 or 2 posts, i'd be afraid to give it a shot, but it sounds okay to do. i've been using firefox for a couple of years now and haven't once considered going back to i.e. or safari. firefox has been a big cut above all others since i first discovered it. why didn't it just appear as a new software update? (i have an imac.) i seem to remember it did before, but maybe this is a whole new ballgame. if all the bookmarks disappeared, i'd have a coronary. they're longtime bookmarks. but analogman's post gives confidence. will try it now.

ah, he did, didn't he. i heard so little about it -- probably a snippet on colbert! -- that i forgot. since paul wellstone (on war), he's been the only person in congress who has the courage to tell it like it is about this administration. i keep saying this on this board, but i cannot understand why most of our own congress keeps throwing us under the bus. yah, money and power, but there has to be more to it. why would they keep doing it when they're in danger of losing their jobs as it is with their longtime low approval ratings.

here is a list that was gathered during my state's efforts beginning in 2006 to impeach bush and cheney, and then added to by a great independent who ran against our go-along-with-the-crowd democratic rep in 2006 (and lost). this list could no doubt be added to again by now, but here it is, for anyone who doesn't think bush and cheney belong in prison to consider. almost every state, by the way, has had multiple impeachment efforts going at least since 2004; state legislatures do have the power to try to convince the u.s. congress to begin impeachment proceedings. it's not going to happ

coming in from the side here: i'm starting to get where you're coming from on this, i think, but with this post i have trouble separating "how someone's belief in god is expressed" from the belief itself. belief isn't external or objective, so how do people understand belief without people's expression of it?
