  1. More on the making of and news about the tee shirt that rocks my world. It is being sold exclusively through Urban Outfitters, not on sale yet. If ANYONE sees it is available, PLEASE let me know!! http://blog.dailyink.com/2012/02/27/wilco-and-popeye-behind-the-scenes-with-frank-caruso/
  2. I just MUST have that poster on a tee shirt. Oh please if there is a child of the 60's cartoon god out there that loves Wilco as much as I do can they please consider making a tee shirt for me? H
  3. Very happy band, it was clear they have been working hard in the loft, really shines on new and old material. It was a great welcome back to LA!!
  4. I have a very tight schedule next Tuesday when I will be seeing the band at the Palladium in Hollywood. The show starts at 8p, there is a warm up and I know from past experiences that Wilco is very punctual. Can I assume the band will not be on stage before 9:15? Thanks for and thoughts on the matter, I am becoming exceedingly excited about this. Henry
  5. I had an interesting experience using FrontGate the other day for the LA Palladium show which I know i s going to be very hard to get into from past LA expereinces. At 10am sharp I reloaded the Frontgate window on both my desktop and my wife laptop, both were sent to the "waiting room". I reloaded both computers every few seconds for a few minutes and then decided to leave one computer on its own and I just reloaded the page on the other. At about 10:09 the one that I had not touched was sent from the waiting room to the ticketing area. I then selected two seats for the LA show and entered t
  6. I came across this and thought I would share it with ya'll. It is a well written piece by a mom who lost her son too soon and found redemption at a Wilco concert. http://mamapundit.com/2011/10/henry-wilco-and-the-whole-love/ Henry
  7. My first Wilco show was at the Gibson Rooftop in Memphis, TN on October, 30th, 2002. A freind of mine gave me a great soundboard of this show, which I then proceeded to burn onto discs with paper labels. Eight years later and those discs are worthless, they just skip erratically when played. I would love to replace this show with a new copy. I have a bunch of great shows for trade if anyone is interested. TIA Henry
  8. You may or may not know about Lagunitas brewery's most recent limited edition brew, but you better go out and grab some while you can. It is called; Wilco Hotel Foxtrot I had my first bottle last night and it is a wonderful brown ale, mellow, full bodied, rich, very delicious. I have been waiting for it to arrive at my local Whole Foods (I asked as soon as I heard about it a few weeks ago) and yesterday it was finally on the shelves. It is a limited edition, so don't wait, drink Wilco now!
  9. oops, it is already taken! H
  10. I have an extra copy of the gorgeous, full color, incredibly interesting Wilco 2009 Tour Guide. If anyone wants it please notify me and possibly send me a SASE thank you! Henry
  11. Thanks, I would say it is from one show, the quality and sound are the same from track to track and if I burn it DAO it is a continuous show. (Btw, it is quite a good recording, probably a SB. Is it possible to put sample up here? I believe not)
  12. I have had this show in my iTunes from even before I became a HUGE fan of Wilco. I do not know the lineage and the CD came without any info or tas on it. If anyone has info on it I would be appreciate. It has 15 tracks (not sure if this is complete) I guess it is this show: http://www.wilcobase...p?event_key=617 1. James Alley Blues 2. Forget The Flowers 3. When You Wake Up Feeling Old 4. She's A Jar 5. A Shot In The Arm 6. Misunderstood 7. Hesitating Beauty 8. Christ For President 9. New Madrid 10. 14. I blogged about this thread and the resulting acknowledgment from Tweedy (with audio clip) and thought those that get to this part of the thread might enjoy. http://www.interactivehank.com/blog/?p=304 Henry
  15. I am just listening to Son Volt's new album American Central Dust and it occurred to me, do you think it is a mere coincidence that Jay Farrar decided to release a new album, clearly going back to the post Uncle Tupelo (read Tweedy) roots of their first two albums Trace and Straightaways only a week after Wilco (the album)? Let's chat about it, shall we? -Henry
  16. I was there!, I forgot about those gongs, but hopefully not for long. Henry
  17. I got one! I grabbed this at the Greek show and finally I have my very own Kotche Pose photo! It was only a split second before he lowered his right stick, pointed it straight at my wife and mouthed "Kotche Power" Thank you Glenn, thanks you Wilco and thank you Via Chicago board members. -silsurf

  21. What a wonderful and happy ending to this thread. Tonight was the Greek show. My girlfriend (wife as of yesterday) and I were in the first row in front of Nels. At one point in between songs Jeff says, "OK, what is this Kotche Power tee shirt all about" and we went nuts, it could not have been better and of course they were gearing up for ITMWLY so when Glen finally mounts his kit and strikes the pose, he drops one stick, points it directly at Jessica and says "Kotche Power" as he cascades down onto the opening drum beat. I don't think I have ever felt as good at a concert in my life as I di
  22. In the words of Jeff Tweedy "This is our favorite place in the world to play" Just back for the Greek show, it was a real winner for sure. I just had to log in to start the thread. Much more to come. I got some great pictures of Nels, Spencer in his head to toe Tie-Dye outfit and Jeff lying down on the stage extending his guitar so the kid who was second in line could strum it during Spiders. Wow, what a show, but now some rest.
