  1. i'm pretty happy with my Honky-Cracker White Leather sofa in my Den
  2. yep. unfortunately there is no real "right" decision in cases like this one. no matter how they handled it, there would have been critics and armchair quarterbacks
  3. thing is Louie, where should they have told people to go? stay in their classrooms? stay in their dorms and then have the gunman go crazy in one of those dorms? run outside into the open giving them a free shot at thousands? it would have been impossible to predict where (if) this guy was going to strike again. i'm not saying it could/should have been handled differently, but it's not as easy as people are making it out to be here....
  4. the lyrics on the new Stooges are some of the worst that i've heard EVER honestly... Iggy's vocal performance is pretty shitty too. that Sum 41 collabo he did a while ago was even better, and it was terrible. you really like that new Lewis & Clarke huh? i dig it, but not even REMOTELY as much as Bare Bones & Branches unfortunately amazing artwork tho
  5. easily one of the worst records of the last 5 years for me, and 100% without a doubt the worst thing i've heard all year, no question. there is a reason it's currently got the lowest rating of the year on Metacritic.... http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/stooges/weirdness
  6. motherfucker not that it'd change anything had police shot him, but still...
  7. you wonder if they were trying to not throw people into a panic and treating the earlier shooting as an isolated incident (as one would imagine), but unfortunately if that was their reasoning, it definitely played a part in the # of people killed in the 2nd shooting, no doubt... obviously hindsight is 20/20 however... i don't think anyone was exactly out of line or being mr. conspiracy theorist though. it was an honest question, and your post just came off as being mr. morality police and didn't offer up a single thing regarding the tragedy or victims is all... anywho...
  8. sheesh, wikipedia people waste no time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Tech_massacre
  9. ah yes, plenty of ripping on the government going on here... media maybe... i know you're just "calling it like you see it", but you're always pretty smarmy/holier than thou about it... anywho, let's leave the bitching out of this thread...
  10. supposedly the shooter was looking for his girlfriend as he was going on the 2nd rampage
  11. never been much of a Travis fan at all, but damn that is a kick ass cover
  12. you heard the new song w/ Reznor? it's the title of the new record, but apparently isn't on the album?? it's ok...
  13. they're usually not nearly as crazy as they were on Conan live, but they still do some pretty wacky things at times. they're fun live, but a couple times i've gotten pretty tired of the antics when the music was fairly sloppy
  14. that record is a total guilty pleasure of mine. normally i'd hate a band like that, but for some reason there's about 6-7 songs on there that totally kick my ass. hope to see them sometime this summer.
  15. not amazing by any means, but i'm definitely enjoying this more than the debut the production is pretty good, which always bugged me about the first one
  16. hah, except Insecure.. wtf is that? the little hidden outro is ok though
  17. ^^ what she said, especially with Guster... start with Lost and Gone, get Goldfly, then after that... Keep It Together, the newest one (Ganging Up On The Sun), and Parachute (their first record, which has some amazing songs, but the album/recording itself leaves a bit to be desired) NP: this is great stuff
  18. i haven't quite gotten into it too much myself, but i like them a lot. their last one bored me, so i can safely say i like it more than that at least. A Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons is a great place to start out if you're unfamiliar with them. easily my favorite of theirs.
  19. http://www.arcadefire.net/tour-dates/the-a...geles-concerts/ http://www.arcadefire.net/tour-dates/north...n-tour-openers/ Almost all of the opening acts for Arcade Fire's upcoming North American tour have been finalized and are as follows:
  20. they're not unfortunately, RCMH is their last opening slot. they're off to the UK a bit after that St. Vincent opens the first Chi show and Electrelane (who are quite good) open the 2nd & 3rd
