Bottom line....in a lot of ways some demons were exercised in terms of St Louis and Wilco tonight. Too late to get into it right now. A great show for myself and all fans in St Louis.
Once the Will Call opens at 6pm I will have four GA tickets available if anyone is still looking. I will be offering them at face. I will be the one holding up four tickets. T-Minus four hours and counting.
The Bottle Rockets show on Sat. night was really good. They have employed their message board to create their setlists for this 15th Anniversary Tour. The only songs they are choosing are during the encore. I have attached a link to a review from the St Louis Post Dispatch. http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/entertain...F2?OpenDocument
I'm starting to wonder if this might not just turn into a mini-residency? What kind of song list changes might we see? Could be very interesting with three nights of opportunities to woo and dazzle the crowd with their extended arsenal of material. Can't wait. At this point I'm going for all angles to get reserved center balcony. And a another question for the audience. Does anyone have any idea what the seating arrangements are going to be on the floor? I seem to get the impression from all the seating charts on line and through ticketmaster/ticket brokers and what not that there is
There are numerous hotels that would fall into the affordable catergory just south of the Pageant. There is a Holiday Inn at the corner of I-44 and Hampton Ave which is not too far away(more than walking distance) and a brand new Drury Inn right across the street. THere is also a Holiday Inn Express on the corner of I-44 and Jefferson. You should be able to find something for under $100 a night. Anything too much less in St Louis proper you may want to reevaluate safety.
I just spoke to someone at The Pageant in St Louis and he seemed (and remember this has yet to be posted on their site yet) pretty sure they were going to do reserved sitting in the balcony. Does MusicToday typically offer those seats on their presale?
It was a great show. Humdity level high, interest level high. I thought Wilco give some nice props to the Blue Note and what they have meant to Wilco and Jeff Tweedy's past. Also enjoyed Jeff's props to all from Belleville and the acknowledgement that his Dad and his entourage were at the show. Anyone have a setlist that is ready. Loved Casino Queen in the second encore.
