  1. I would argue for Axis: Bold as Love. But then, one could really argue for any of his albums.
  2. At this point, I've only gotten about 2/3-3/4 though the movie before being interrupted by the wife and kids. It's pretty damn good and really demonstrates the depths of Roky's illness—extremely ill—which makes it pretty damn depressing. If you love anybody with a mental illness, it will really hit home, be warned. Still, the greatness of the music pulls the movie out of the doldrums often enough to help me keep watching. Not to make any assumptions, but I feel like I know Rok a lot more than I did before watching the movie. It's very well-done and, for a fan of his music, if you want to know
  3. Okay, gotta do the list thing now. Bands that I saw at Mississippi Nights: Television Jonathan Richman X Dillon Fence And.. I know there were a few more, but I am blanking right now. Damn.
  4. Generally, they exist. Even Snuffuluppagus.
  5. I can't stream the video (need to update my Flash), but I've seen several great shows at Mississippi Nights! I can picture the room in my head all too well. That club's closing was probably as big a loss to StL as the Lounge Ax was to Chicago.
  6. Rest in peace. http://www.digitalspy.com/music/news/a460287/soft-machine-founder-kevin-ayers-dies-aged-68.html
  7. If you want an old school kinda place in River North, The Green Door is a nice little tavern with some pretty good burgers. It's on Orleans, right around Huron.
  8. Definitely a rip-off. Mission accomplished. Thanks!
