  1. And for my money, Bob Andrews is the best rock keys player there ever was.
  2. Awesome Brinsleys video! I need to grab that one.
  3. Turned on the radio in the car last night and... "Roadrunner" was playing... on a commercial station (WXRT). That has never happened (to me) before. I instantly called the station to tell them that more Jonathan was HIGHLY recommended.
  4. Anything pro-Jonathan is good with me. Go for it, Mass.!!!! "I'm in love with Massachusetts..."
  5. If you had heard the live Jeff Mangum at Jittery Joe's album, it wouldn't. He had a pretty good banter going there.
  6. And I cannot believe that nobody (including me) has yet mentioned former Hüsker Dü bassist Greg Norton, who was a chef at his Minneapolis-area restaurant. (I think that it's now closed.) Too bad, because it sounds damn good:
  7. The entire album is GREAT! As is his previous album, The Way I See It: You should immediately go and purchase both. Heard through the internet grapevine that he has a new one coming out this year, too. If true, it is at the top of my "anticipated albums" list. EDIT: Thanks for the inspiration. Listening to Saadiq right now.
  8. I forgot about this one. Did somebody mention it already? Edward Tudor-Pole, leader of rowdy early-80s pub rock band Tenpole Tudor, went on to host a TV show, I believe—a game show or something called The Crystal Maze. And, since we can only see one vid per post, here is the link to a vid of him hosting the show: Goofy bastard.
  9. Downladable from Martin's website: http://martinnewell.co.uk Just ordered it and am waiting for the DL to show up in my mailbox. Always very exciting!
  10. Sorry if my large caps/bold thing was a bit obnoxious. I was just trying to get folks' attention to get them to post in here instead of last month's. Thanks for gettin' it done and sorry, again for being obnoxious. I do hope that your mom is feeling better, Wendy.
  11. Maybe the saddest song ever written:
  12. Never watched it before, and didn't realize that it was a Joss Wheedon thing. I had heard that it was good, but I am really enjoying it.
  13. IT'S FEBRUARY, PEOPLE! LET'S PIN AND USE THE NEW THREAD.
