IMO, it doesn't live up to the hype. But that does not mean that it isn't a really good album. I suppose that, whether or not you like it depends upon how you feel about modern RnB and hip-hop (mostly the former). Definitely a modern soul album, but it frequently evokes the past, especially 70s Stevie Wonder. I like it a lot.

I think that he's still continuing the same ragga in heaven that he started last year. Rest in peace.

I am aware. I just know that there are a couple of fans on here and was bumping for their benefit, as well as the benefit of anyone else who may have missed it but might be curious. (Just as much as for myself.) Plus, I found the YouTube for the benefit of said folks.

That's where I saw him. It was great.

HOLY SHIT!!! I just saw this! LINK

Great performance, for sure; but not the best in the film. I think that the mom deserves an Oscar for Supporting Actress. She was great. And, oddly enough, DeNiro was the weak link of the cast.

Not that most of you (any of you) care, but I am pretty damn psyched for this. Hope it will come out before the end of that year and that I can actually HEAR it before then, too. Paste Magazine review: LINK

I didn't even make it past that first interview. But I was excited because I got to miss a day of school!

I'll have to check that out. I believe that I've mentioned in here before that I interviewed for the role of Danny when I was 7, didn't I? Kubrick was there and I got to meet him, too. Even though I had no idea, at the time, who he was; just that he was introduced to me as "the director." (I figured it out years later, when I was reflecting back on that day.)
