  1. Can't find any chatter about this album anywhere on here. I know that we have some Richard Davies fans, and after 17 years, the fact that they're following putting out a follow-up I think should warrant a thread. Anyone heard it? Like I said, I couldn't find anything around here.
  2. Real nice tune there, too. Of course, the Spanish language thing will severely limit its chances in Nashville, but down in the Southwest, I'm sure that it's got a decent audience. Was this clip from Tempe TV?
  3. "You Wrote This Song" Was trying to decide whether or not to post it, but in the end you can see what was my choice. This is the one that I am shopping around to see if I can get any takers in Nashville. Hell, I think that with a horn section and the right singer this might sound good as an RnB tune, too. It's a friend's fiancée singing the lead vocal and she just killed it! All I do on there is play acoustic guitar. Good feedback so far. Hope you like.
  4. This was some damn good stuff. Not that I should be surprised, as it is Sam Smith's, but it went down real smooth and had just enough chocolate flavor to kick my ass, but no so much as to overwhelm the beer. Just awesome. And I am not a fan of flavored/infused beers or lambics and such.
  5. Jeff Mangum - Live @ Jittery Joe's And, now I am listening to the new demos that I made over the weekend; same song, male and female versions: FEMALE: http://soundcloud.com/poptodd/you-wrote-this-song-rachel-1 MALE: http://soundcloud.com/poptodd/you-wrote-this-song-jack-final
  6. IMO, it doesn't live up to the hype. But that does not mean that it isn't a really good album. I suppose that, whether or not you like it depends upon how you feel about modern RnB and hip-hop (mostly the former). Definitely a modern soul album, but it frequently evokes the past, especially 70s Stevie Wonder. I like it a lot.
  7. I think that he's still continuing the same ragga in heaven that he started last year. Rest in peace.
  8. I am aware. I just know that there are a couple of fans on here and was bumping for their benefit, as well as the benefit of anyone else who may have missed it but might be curious. (Just as much as for myself.) Plus, I found the YouTube for the benefit of said folks.
  9. That's where I saw him. It was great.
