Good to hear that Al is nice. A lot of those funny guys can be real assholes when you actually meet 'em. -

Welcome to town. And yeah, Andersonville has become a pretty hopping 'hood in the last 15 years or so; lots of good restaurants and bars and stuff. Nice.

So Sweet Bird of Youth was last night and I was duly impressed. Of course, as expected, Diane Lane was excellent, but the young actor in the lead male role was exceptional. And, in typical Tennessee Williams fashion, every single character was flawed, and not a single one of them learned a thing in the end. A bit of a downer, but still provocative, well worth-while, and enjoyable despite itself!

A friend of mine just sent me this link on Facebook. Watched the first 5 minutes of it and I am already hooked. Too bad I'm also at work and cannot watch any more. No matter how much I love Gram Parsons, Sneaky Pete steals the show on this one.

Any of you all ever patronize live theater? Small companies? Large companies? Broadway extravaganzas? My wife and I are going to see Sweet Bird of Youth (the Tennessee Williams play) tonight, at the Goodman Theater here in Chicago. This is the first time in a while that we have been to see something on this grand a scale in a long time. You seen anything recently? Going to see something? Seems to me that this is the one area of the arts that we don't really talk about much.

Been watching this on Netflix with the family. Not only one of the best theme songs of all-time, but a really great show. Surprised that I've never watched it before now. I adore this show.

Gotta get out my HAM TV for that one. ;-) Hopefully they'll put it online so that we can see it over here.
