  1. Milton Nascimento & Lo Borges - Clube da Esquina
  2. Didn't see many. Just a couple. But the best was Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever at Lincoln Hall (Chicago). Those boys ROCK, I tells ya!
  3. I had a beer with Jim and Nash Kato at Danny's back in 93 or so. I thought Jim was very sweet. But only met him the once (we had mutual friends).
  4. I was at The Replacements' final show -- in 1991, when the broke up on stage at Grant Park. I have no memories, however, of the two outstanding opening acts: NRBQ and Material Issue. I like both of those bands. A lot. And I did then, too. And I know that I was there for their sets. But I just don't remember anything about them. Damnit.
  5. I think Stevie was probably picked, as a solo artist, more for being a fashion/cultural icon than for anything to do with her actual solo music output. Because, yeah: outside of the Mac, she didn't really have such an amazing career.
  6. So are Def Leppard and Janet Jackson, whether you like them or not. Also, I am super happy to see The Zombies and Roxy Music make it. Overall, this is a good class.
  7. Big Thief - Masterpiece Negro Léo - Action Lekking
  8. So, this show is a week from Friday: 12/21 at the Montrose Saloon You Chicago people? Anyone wanna come out? I go on first, at 9.
  9. Only just picked up the new one from The Sea and Cake. But I always like them.
