  1. Was lucky to get two orchestra center BB for Tuesday night around the 10:35. Never ever had this kind of luck. Shooting for a single for Wed this Friday. I am smiling wide.

Same with my friend, 2 row As at 10:35 for Tuesday.

    I scored 4 row K for Sunday at 10:01.

  2. It was much better than I expected.  The band sounded great and Cornell's voice sounded really good.  10c put me 14th row on Stone's side.

The MLB songs were played much better than the studio originals and the covers were fun.  Fascination street was my favorite. Sound was great, and I could feel Cameron's drums in my bones.  Great way to spend a Monday night.

  3. It will be interesting to see what the TOTD shows bring.  I was able to score decent loge seats for the tower-right place right time.

Also got MSG through 10C.  We shall see.  Cant say I am overly excited, but seeing Cornell with PJ as the backing band should be fun.

  4. I was at this show too and the only thing that really sticks out was me kind of wandering around on my own and settling into a side seat and when they opened 2nd set with Touch some older 'head next to me asking me if I knew what tune it was (I didn't) but not in an inquisitive manner but rather in a snarky manner. WhenI said "no I don't" he scoffed/chuckled and said "yeaaaaaah, I remember MY first show!" That son of a bitch scarred me for life as my first show was in same venue but spring of '81.

Funny, there where times when I did not recognize the song, but I always seemed to sitting next to someone with encyclopedic knowledge of that particular song.

  5. Awww yeah. I was at these, as well. The 10.15.83 still gives me shivers during the Space-> Stephen.....I (and everyone else) knew they'd dusted it off at MSG a few nights earlier and the whole place was palpably on the edge of their collective seat...

Amazing energy.  For some reason the Dead almost always put on a great show in Hartford.

  6. Ah wow I remember the arctic monkeys at mer lounge tixs weed going for hundreds.. Jealous of police Rem

The police shows-two back to back with REM opening.  Stipe had long hair and mumbled a lot LOL.

Had tix for the first night and then scalped a seat for the second night for $40  :blink

The Mercury show was nuts, so packed, but the energy in the room was fantastic and they put on a great show.

  7. This is tough but I have been lucky to see some great shows. In no particular order

    1. Rolling Stones November 1981 Hartford

    2. Grateful dead October 1983 Hartford

    3. David Bowie 1983 Hartford

    4. Police/REM 1983 Hartford

    5. Pearl Jam 1996 New York City night 2 at randall's island

    6. My Morning Jacket 2015 four nights at the Beacon

    7. Wilco 2010 Hartford

    8. Lollapalooza 1994 Greenday, L7, Nick Cave, Tribe Called Quest, George Clinton, Beastie Boys, Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins

    9. Roger Waters 1984 hartford Pros and cons

    10. Van Halen New Haven 1982

    11. Arctic Monkeys 2005 US debut at Mercury Lounge-Couldn't leave this one off the list

So many others not on the list.

These days it is all about pearl jam, wilco, and my morning jacket.

  8. Ended up scoring tix through a friend for night 2 and got a decent seat through stub hub for night 1-$260 for 200s, row 11, so not too bad.

The first night was a great show for hardcore fans and the second night was a great rock concert. The cheap trick moment was probably the highlight for me. Took me right back to the new haven coliseum circa 1985. Awesome, just awesome. Night 2 the PA went out during porch, totally killed the momentum and it was surreal. Great shows.  Hampton was also good. These guys bring it every night.
