http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2009/06/14/springsteen-takes-bonnaroo-to-promised-land/ Excerpt from review of Bruce's performance at Bonnaroo on CNN: "Overall, a stunning, emotional performance, and the best I’ve seen at Bonnaroo thus far. Coming in a close second was Wilco, who like Bruce, drew from their rich catalog of material to mesmerize the crowd — including four songs of their upcoming seventh studio album, “Wilco (The Album).” Frontman Jeff Tweedy played coy with the audience – telling them “it doesn’t matter if you boo tonight. It will sound like you are yelling Bruuuuce!” And

Last weekend is one for the memory books indeed, and I thank all of you for that! What a great group of people to have experienced this event with. I send my thanks to Morgan and her parents for inviting us into their home, not to mention all the goodies to keep our tummies full, to Edie for getting us together on Friday night to meet everyone, and to Wendy for keeping it all organized -

Hey bigshoulders/Kevin I met you too! Nice to know there's some VCer's here in the Raleigh area. Thanks to Charles my hub, I got to hang out backstage for part of the show. Actually I squeezed into the front row, but got kicked out by security - had no choice but to hang out on the side of the stage, how awesome is that! I also requested Reservations for Charles and me and lo and behold they played it - aahhh! Good times for sure! It is emotional though, the next day was a downer indeed - bittersweet, coming off a great show, but realizing it'll be awhile before I see them again - whoa is me.

I wasn't so sure about SBS when I first heard it, but after listening to it over and over you start to really feel it and then seeing them in concert is what finally won me over. They're coming to our neck of the woods, and when I told a friend about it he said, "yeah I'll bring the kids because their latest CD is so laid back that it should be a good family concert". Well - sure bring the kids, but seeing them play these songs in concert is not like frolicking through the flower fields - those songs ROCK! If you get a chance to see them during their Summer tour, I'd advise you to do so to

The only time I've posted to Via Chicago was during the last residency show, so you don't know me, but I'll be there! I'll be with Chaslor, aka "Charles the picture taker" We'll be there Friday and Saturday nights. I'm requesting "Feed of Man", I know chances are very, very slim, but I'm going to beg shamelessly......

Thanks Wilco! Sweet Dreams......
