Music. My favorite singer in the world is Glen Phillips. I'm the webmistress for another great singer named Teitur. I move too much and keep leaving my concert buddies behind.
  1. it's been a while since the show, but i couldn't get onto the board for the last month, for some reason. and now it works. go figure. anyways, it was my first ever wilco show, and it was so worth it. i thought i had second row seats, because they were row B. turns out, on the left side of the stage, row B is front row! so i spent the entire show at the feet of nels cline. i got a few pictures, but they pale in comparison to the professional ones posted. but i only have a point and shoot, so i'm happy with what i got. they're here if anyone wants to look.
  2. i'm probably a complete anomaly on this board as i just started listening to wilco within the last two years, and i actually started listening to wilco because i went to an autumn defense show. love pat sansone. LOVE. he also wears stripey socks.
  3. there's lots of great places for dinner/drinks up the road (central ave.). the venue is right on the UNM campus, so there's lots of student oriented places around, and a cool area called nob hill not far from the campus. as for places to stay... anywhere that is really close is going to be kinda sketchy. there's lots of old motor hotels from the route 66 heyday, in various states of disarray. but there's plenty of nice hotels along I-25 and downtown. there's a parking structure right next to the venue, or since it is on a friday night, all the permit and meter parking on campus should be op
  4. it's a pretty nice venue. they do lots of symphony shows and such there. i saw the shins there last year. the sound is really great. the ushers are generally older folk (who probably don't really appreciate the rock shows). don't even think about taking a camera in, or trying to sneak a picture with your cell phone - if they catch you, the ushers will throw you out. i've seen it. they're really anal about the food etc because they just put new seats in. needless to say, i will definitely be there. i got orchestra pit row b tix. verrrry excited!
