a few things occured to me after seeing wilco last night for the first time in exactly a year (it was a belter by the way!!) - michael (spelling?, sorry..) is a severely underrated member of the band and this is exhibited by his use of a silk cushion to mash the keys towards the end of shot in the arm - john's denim jacket with embroidery is the best demin jacket currently in existence (this is a fact) - glenn & nels are not only respectively supreme musicians but their enthusiasm is always moreso impressive - pat has CHOPS on the guitar! i ctually never knew that until i saw him r

The website is great - really anticipating the cd release... If anyone wants to do themselves a favour, be sure to look deeply into the Augie March discography for more great songs from Glenn Richards (who was involed in 7WC..) and co... they are one of my favourite australian bands, without doubt. Any of the first three records in their disco are worth plucking straight ioff, but best to start at no 1.. Sunset Studies. Id love to hear what you all think of it, as theyre one of those bands that ive only really listened to in my own personal space and time. ... luke.

listening to summer teeth and thinkin about jay. read this in the paper on the way home from work.. standing on the platform and the whole scene just froze.. very profound and upsetting news. go in peace sir.

Hey guys! If anyone knows a way to get a ticket to this show - or especially, if someone is looking to sell their's or a friend's - please email me at luke_d_brennan@hotmail.com Would appreciate it so much!! It's the only wilco show i can catch whilst in the states but i was completely spun out by the pace of the ticketmaster sale. i get to NY on the 12th i believe so i'm happy to meet a seller! cheers

sounded like a band that might have sounded better on cd funny i think i saw that bloke... jeff had this distracted look on his face on stage and i look down and this guys got his hand in the air like "YES.. IM HERE EVERYONE DON'T WORRY! HI JEFF!!"
-
yeah a little bit pretentious aswell... it sounded and looked like: "look at me i'm so troubled" but the truth of it is im living in a first world city with a record deal and making a living off my passion so i suppose i'll just have to act like i'm bi-polar to be interesting. i mean i dont know what this guy's life is actually like but it seemed he wanted it to come accross as pretty tragic and mentally chaotic.

personally didn't dig 'em... played well but a little too dramatic

guys #19 on adrian's gallery is a killer pose! i mean let's be open and honest men, he's a very good looking performer.. hey also there are a few good photos in there catching eye contact with jeff! he kept looking at me side of stage.. and i noticed how a bit into the set he started really eyeing people off in the crowd, made a good connection. i also reckon that streak in the encore where they totally went hammers was amazing. really rocked out.

Amaaaazing show. Misunderstood was unbelievable as the opener... couldn't believe it. Love the pics adrian! They're absolutely killer. Very photogenic band too i gotta say, some brilliant poses from Nels and Pat when they were rockin. Can't wait to see wilco again they blew me away with their delivery.

lukeshakedrugs replied to mollyegan's topic in Just A Fan
