I can't decide if this eBay listing is creepy or kind of cool

It's not as valuable as the ebay auction the janitor came up with ... -
I blame the U.S. of orchestrating Michael Bolton.
-
I thought that link said "michael bolten" at first. Thanks.

If gogo could do that, that would be proof of divine intervention, huh?

If it's true, we've obviously gotten better at it.

I guess he has more time to do such things. Instead of introducing him as "Sun-Times columnist," he can merely be "out-of-work pain in the arse." He's one of those people where looks aren't deceiving.

Being in the South, I see enough evidence that the median income for dems vs. rep is a wash.

My mama used to say two wrong's don't make a right. Regardless of side, the best way to advance or end an argument is with facts. Saying it's so don't make it so. Saying "you can look it up" doesn't help your cause even if it's there to be looked up. In this day and age -- as with political analysts -- you can find some "facts" on the Web to make 2+2 = whatever you want it to. Attacks just makes the merry-go-round spin faster.

The Bush's War Frontline documentary (IIRC) had some discussion from the Cable and TV news' perspective -- or rather lack of perspective -- by relying on "analysts" rather than doing any true reporting. Something happens, they get out the rolodex (now, google) and they get one person from each side, and, starting with the ubiquitous "I'll start with you," they start the argument until it's time to cut them off. No work, no cost (unless you have to woo an analyst that's going to score points with your audience) to the media. Nothing but a damned slippery slope.

HEY! Stop that cussing in here!

Great post. I lean the other direction, but I feel some of what you're saying. I think it's fair enough to say all the way around (self included) that the way to point out someone's lack of reasoning is not to be even more unreasonable.

He could be the Tim McCarver (or Joe Morgan) of political analysts!

Hey, I watch BBC America. Other than your tabloids, you're getting a better version of the world than we can get in the states with, arguably three networks and at least four cable news channels at our constant disposal.

Not to split airs but 8 years as first lady -- including efforts on national health care that, within the party, is valuable experience for the next four years. Comparing state office to the U.S. senate is like comparing AA ball to the MLB. I read the blog on Obama's site too. One can debate his term of experience in the Senate because he admittedly laid low the first half of his term, getting the lay of the land. Despite the barbs tossed, I hope Barack is everything his supporters hope for. I hope his vision is tempered with a pragmatic approach to Washington, and that he can make a dif

Crow, don't regret saying something so well.

That's a very good observation. I did like this line from Clinton: (EDIT: preceding line) "Most important, Barack Obama knows that America cannot be strong abroad unless we are strong at home. "People the world over have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power."

My thinking is, if this was used or deemed of value enough by Jeff Tweedy, it wouldn't be in mint condition. If he had actually carried it and used it, being pocketsized it would be anything but. I smell major fraud -- especially because they DON'T show the handwritten songs. There's enough stuff out there to compare against to quickly tell whether it's Jeff or just some clown trying to jack up the bids. THAT'S creepy. -
The scenes, the people are just as choreographed as the people who stand behind the candidates at a stump speech -- or the women who sit in the front rows at an Oprah show. The RNC will have the same homogeny.
-
Because it was too late to put a deposit on the Mount.
-
Remember these four days are completely choreographed, just as the show next week will be. It's a great unifier but don't get too high and too low. The next 9 1/2 weeks ( ) are going to be a roller coaster.

The only thing more apropos is if a house falls on Mariotti. Or someone melts him with a bucket of water.

This is a letter HRC sent to one of the local Dem officials that was forwarded to me: Dear Dolly, Standing on that stage tonight in front of 20,000 Democrats unified behind Senator Obama, I saw a bright future for America. I saw millions of people across the country working as one to elect the next Democratic President. I saw a new President and a new Congress giving a voice to the voiceless. I saw America, the land of endless potential, regaining its role as a leader in the world. I couldn't be prouder of our party, of our nominee, and of all the work you and I have done together over t

That was all planned -- and reported -- at the beginning of the week.
